We may anyway, but this would help.

no bc if we dont get arrington....pop belief is we need an impact LB....they wouldnt be around later

If Arrington signed/Trade Pick!!

I believe that with the signing of Lavar Arrington, the Dolphins would fill every must need. We already added three to our secondary, upgraded OT, and obviously got our Franchise QB. If we add a Pro Bowl Linebacker also, then I think it would be smart to trade down in the 1st round. The next three needs in my opinion are S, DT, and then WR. We could trade down, add a second round pick, and then get possibly two big time contributors for next season.

I like the idea that other thread had where we trade with the Jets. That not only gets us a 2nd round pick, but an early one at that. So, we make the trade, then we have two rookies that can contribute right away, and we can also go in with the "Best player available" mentality. Because other than maybe RB, TE, and QB, you could make a case for drafting at any other position.

Now, I think we wait until during the draft so we see how things shake out. There are players that could fall that are worth taking at 16, but it is probably unlikely.

either way we are going to trade down if we can find a partner. i think arrington just gives us flexibility in the draft to go almost any way in the draft.

Yeah picking up more picks should be an objective to Saban considering there a 3 rounds where the Dolphins are not picking.

Every time I make a thread, I take so long putting my thoughts together that by the time I am done somebody else already has one up.

I think it would be hard to get fair compensation to move down. Chances are one of the top DB/DT will slip a bit. Plus, Santonio Holmes may be there at WR. Hard to pass on that kind of talent, but maybe if it is down just 3-4 spots.

Doh!! I saw the title of this thread and for some reason my mind didnt comprehend the IF.
I dont think that Saban will trade down unless we are given what he feels is proper value but since we only have a 1st 3rd 4th and three 7s I could definantly see us moving down if we are given good value.

Trade down, pick up the extra second, and take Sinorice.

IMO Saban and Mueller are confident they can pick up quality players and potential starters in later rounds. If the opportunity happens they will trade down for quantity to address more needs.

easier said then done to trade down. im sure saban wants to pick up extra picks.
