In 2005, he was able to bring down 7 receptions for 95 yards against an extremely stout LSU defense. Then later in the year, he torched the USC Trojans for 10 receptions and 162 yards, although admittedly, Southern Cal's defense was a bit lax.
In 2006, he lit up two respectable Big Ten opponents, Iowa and Purdue, for a combined 17 receptions and a ridiculous 294 yards.
Hagan was the picture of consistency and production in college, not the "hands of stone" prospect that was so maligned prior to the draft that he went from a first-round prospect to a third-round selection.

for some reason i have a feeling he may be the steal of the draft. i like our other picks but i feel he may have been the steal.

Lets hope he can be bring his collegate statistics respectively to the NFL. If this guy is as good as we think he is, we're likely to see him easily become the 3rd slot guy possibly # 2 guy if Booker leaves next year. (Hoping that Booker does stay)

The more I hear about this kid the more I like the pick. I agree he could be a steal. Thanks for sharing the article Jim.

I can't wait to see this guy play. I hope him and Jason Allen (which is more likely) both start at the beginning of the season.

I'm excited to see this guy play. I love the way it sound like this team is shaping up.

You can't have that prolific of a college career and be labeled a "butterfingers". Something happened to him either physically or emotionally during the couple months between the senior bowl and the combine. Either way, I think your right. We definitely benefited from his brief misfortune.

saban told him to drop passes at the senior bowl so that he would slip to the third round and be available for the dolphins to draft him

Seriously, I think this man is the next coming of McDuffie. I also think that by the end of the year he's going to put up better stats than Booker did last year. However, if he doesn't I won't be disappointed, McDuff put up only 197 yards in his first year.

I'm so mental over this team, that I'd probably do that if I were a WR prospect.

He's definitely got the profile of someone who could end up having huge success and then you're like...why did he drop to the 3rd again? Oh, because he dropped a few balls at the Senior Bowl...big deal.

But, I'll say he dropped to the 3rd for a reason. He felt the pressure at the Senior Bowl and Combine and his technique turned to ****. It wasn't just the result, it was the technique of his catching, looked awkward. He also had a few "big moment" drops in school...not consistent drops by any means.

I think it's a good possibility that in his Arizona offense he never needed to really press hard to get open. At times he won't need to do that in the pros either. When he feels really pressed, I think that's when you'll see more lapses in concentration.

I'm not sayin he'll be bad...just that he was in the 3rd for a reason...and that reason may turn out to be a non-issue at the next level.

I'd feel comfortable at this point saying he has a good chance of being better than Chad Jackson.

CK, that's really saying something, because it's saying he's going to be better than Chambers. The only other player from the 2001 WR class that's performed better than Chambers has been Jackson.

Btw, does anybody else feel disappointment over McDuffie's early retirement? I can't help but think the McDuffie-Chambers combo would have been wonderful.
