Since he's the only Dolphins rookie to record an official stat after the first five games, I was wondering if anyone liked what they saw from him today, filling in for Booker?

His 17-yard reception sounded nice. Any other thoughts?

I didn't realize how big he was, he looks like a tight end.

he wont play to much now but towards the end he will start to play more often

He had a fair performance. The coaching staff is grooming him to slide opposite Chambers. He won't take Welker's spot, who's been getting a lot of short passes headed his way since he's open and our OL can't block past 1-Mississippi.

The o-line did a good job today.

True, but you can't say that for the previous 4 games. Might've just been a fluke.

I guess Welker can't take Booker's place? Is that the case?

lol i love how every body bashed ppl when they would talk bout welker moving into the #2 slot......he played well today when we played at the 2nd WR wen booker was hurt and finally randy was in the offense .....fellas the problems are behind us we will go 10-6

Did Welker come in as the #2 guy? I was listening on the radio, and it seemed like Hagan came in at that time.

Anyhow, Welker can play for sure. But, it just doesn't seem like he has "tools" to be an everyday #2 WR. He's perfect as a sneaky slot receiver that can slip into coverage gaps, As much as I like him, I just don't think there's a better way to utilize the guy than the Dolphins are right now. (Unless you're sending him in as an emergency place kicker or something.)

The Pats have a good DL have they not?

They do but even the worst OL can have a good game once in a while. I hope they can keep it up. Whether it was because Culpepper wasn't the QB under pocket or that our OL really has improved remains to be seen.

Welker did not play #2. I watched the game he played slot all game. the D started keying on me after booker went out. D.H. Came and played #2.. The runs to day sucked. We are always in the shotgun. Last I checked its really hard to run out of the shotgun. I know the line didnt run block well poor ronnie was getting hit 2 yards deep but you have to keep giving him the rock in a I-form like we did with ricky the 2 yard runs will turn in to 20 yards runs in the forth.

I miss the days of playing it safe and letting ball control/good defense win the game.

I tell u what and grill me if you like but Chambers is the spot that should be in jeopardy. He had continous 1 on 1 coverage all day and could not separate from any of their db's. I was at the game and watched him 80% of the time. He is definately not a number 1. I also watched ROnnie and am concerned about his vision. He repeatedy picked the wrong hole to run to and gave up about potential big gainers if he had only bounced it outside. I love ronnie but I am starting to doubt him a little.
I am going to the Jet game next week and will watch both again to confirm.
Other notes, Welker is the man, Randy was opened all day, the o-line was much better not so much Joey getting rid of it, the pass interference call was b.s . I was right there in the endzone-Saban was going nuts on that one for about 10 minutes even during commercial break.
I also can't believe Mularky called 3 straight passing plays before the last samuel pick. Ronnie was starting to move them a little.:shakeno:
Finally, I have to say the ne fans are pretty nice and did not abuse me for wearing my dolphin gear. Pretty quiet crowd too.

Yeah, it was a fluke, it had nothing to do with the change in QB.
