I havent been able to see many dolphins games from up here in NY but I think all the bashing of Derek Hagan is uncalled for since it seems like many many WR have their "break-out" season in their third year. and for derek hagan a break out season would mean a solid number two i doubt he will ever be a number one but its still possible he could earn the number two spot over time. but for now im happy with Ernest Wilford and Ted Ginn all we need id a QB who can actually get them the ball on time and accuratly and we could be a good team for years to come.

anybody saying "cut" Hagan is being silly . . . . he is in his 3rd year of a rookie contract for a 3rd round pick . . . on a team in BIG NEED of WR talent. Hagan has talent . . . he just has to focus more and stop dropping the ball. He runs solid routes and is a pretty good blocker down field . . . hopefully he can "breakout" this season.

the problem with Hagan is he can get open, he can get separation, he runs good routes... he just doesn't have the hands, so that is the most frustrating, when a guy gets open, gets a good pass, should be a first down/good gain/etc and he flat out drops it... its tough to watch

i remember our old WR coach saying that Hagan needs to settle down and concentrate more... apparently it seems hes heavy into parting and the nightlife and that i guess distracts him from what he needs to be doing

he said hagan was more concerned about his friends than playing football

How can you sit there and say that you haven't seen many games BUT feel that Hagan shouldn't be "bashed"? Bashing him may be a bit harsh, but how can you have an opinion on the guy if you rarely see him play?

Like him or not, this minicamp is make or break for him. His past is the past and what he does in minicamp will determine if he's on the field opening day. Parcells isn't going to waste any time trying to develop him, he's been in the league two years already, he should be able to catch balls and move the chains. If he can't, he's gone!

I'll have to research some stats, but Hagan's drops are blown out of proportion on this board. I felt as though Chambers dropped a lot more easy balls than any receiver I've ever seen on the Phins. Complaints about him were warranted, but not Hagan. I've got a good feeling about him this year, especially because veryone is overlooking him.

I agree that this is going to be his make or break year. He has all the ability in the world. He just needs to stop dropping the dang ball.

Having said that it probably wouldnt hurt if he had a consistant QB throwing the ball to him. How many different starting QB's has he had in the last couple of years? Kinda hard to develop some chemistry with a QB when its a different guy every 3-4 weeks.

When we drafted Hagan I was pumped! I watched him a few times in his last year at Arizaona st. the only thing everyone had to knock on him was dropping to many passes. The good thing about that is, it is fixable. I would rather that be his problem then him not knowing the plays or routes. I think he will prove himself this year. That is, if he has a reliable and descent QB throwing to him.

The problem with the thought process of cutting Hagan he is still by far our third best receiver.Perry, Kircus and Camirillo are scrubs and fodder.

do you think his card is worth anything?
