Crowder and Zach in the middle I mean its pretty well known Crowder has been brought in to replace Zach when he steps down
Pope on the outside with the other spot being either a free agent pick up or a rookie we draft

I wasnt thinking of Pope anyway i was thinking of Donnie Spragan (sp?)

Derrick Pope has a chance to become a starter I think, but it's doubtful that it happens before Zach Thomas retires. You can have a 230-235 interior linebacker in the Dolphins defense, but you cant have two.
Zach Thomas is usually protected by the DE and NT infront of him to playing 2-gap assignments, allowing him to stay clean and pursue the play wherever it may go.
The other ILB doesnt have that luxury. His DE is stunting or penetrating a specific gap, and he's got to deal with blockers much more often then Zach does.
Pope needs protection to play ILB in the 3-4. He's going to have to play the 2-gap side, and to do that, he's got to unseat Zach somehow.
