Desmond Bishop

Has anyone heard of whether the Fins have any interest in Desmond Bishop? On the local Fox radio sports affiliate in Minneapolis, Ben Leber (ex-NFL LB for Chargers and Vikes), stated that, if healthy the Vikes needs to sign him before he visits Kansas City and Miami. I was just wondering if he had Jacksonville and Miami switched as I know there have been reports of Jacksonville showing interest. To me it would make sense for the Fins to show interest in Bishop because before his injury he was a decent player and could give our LBing crew some pretty good depth. Plus Philbin would have been a coach in GB during his playing days there.

Solid player, not over 30, and coming off an injury. Sounds like our kind of guy this year.

He seems to have been a little over priced on his last contract extension to fit in what Ireland seemingly wants to do as we'll as being an old Packer which hasn't seemed to be a benefit for players on our roster.

I don't see it happening, but then again I got A LOT of this offseason wrong.

I dont see why he would sign here. The guy probably wants a starting job and we just upgraded with Ellerbe and Wheeler. I doubt he would be willing to be a backup.

Which is why I think Leber said Miami but meant Jacksonville. Especially since there has been no report from Miami's beat writers. Who know's maybe they would think of him as competition for Misi?

He plays inside, yes he's prolly better than Misi but at what cost and is it worth it? Coming off a big injury not sure if we touch him.
