Does anyone know why we released Desmond Clark? He is supposed to be a quality TE? Last year we picked him up from Denver and didn't really use him much. When R McM hit the wall at the end of the season couldn't this guy have been used somewhere? Hinesight is 20/20 I guess.

We had no chance at keeping Clark, he wanted playing time and he wasn't going to get it here. Also, he got a pretty nice contract from Chicago I believe.

Both Clark and Weaver both wanted a better chance to start, and they realized they werent beating out McMicheals. Clark went to Chicago, Weaver the 49ers.

Clark is a very good TE. He got alot of money in Chicago. 6 year deal is all I know about the contract
