Reported from Scout.com:
According to a Palm Beach Post report, the Detroit Lions will agree to trade the rights to quarterback Joey Harrington to the Miami Dolphins on Thursday, finally culminating the rather forgettable Joey Harrington-era in Detroit.
The former No. 3 overall pick had already agreed in principle on a two-year contract with Miami that will reportedly pay him $4 million. If the deal is completed, he will back-up former Vikings' starter Daunte Culpepper, who was obtained from Minnesota last month. Both Harrington, 27, and the Dolphins were apparently just waiting on Detroit to agree on compensation.
That trade compensation, which has been rumored to be a seventh rounder this year in addition to a conditional draft choice next April, would be finalized on Thursdsay.
