Re-signing wide receiver Kenny Stills became a priority once the team lost faith in DeVante Parker late this season, according to a coaching staff source. Stills will be counted on to remain the team's No. 2 target with Jarvis Landry and Julius Thomas seeing a large share of targets, too.

I sincerely hope they don't give up on the guy. He's still young!

So you lose faith in Parker for work ethic and health related issues but trade for Julius "100% or inactive" Thomas. Double standard much?

I don't think they're giving up on him. Just acknowledging that he's not ready to take on a bigger role yet. Hoping he puts it all together this year and stays healthy for a full 16 games.

Watch the source on this.

Regardless, we've been hearing about DVP's effort consistently for a while now. I would not be surprised if he was traded.

Hard to compare parker with someone who cost a 7th round pick and took a paycut to come here.

The concerns with Parker are valid and are shared by many

Julius Thomas has a proven track record with this head coach when he was calling plays. DVP does not.

Gase knows what he has in Thomas and has tried and so far seen limited results with DVP.

I understand but price tag aside we're relying a hell of a lot more o Thomas than we are on parker. Who's are receiving TE if Thomas has Jacksonville like issues? We at least have Stills and Landry at WR.

Gase has worked with Thomas and Parker. He knows what he's getting and what he's got.

Maybe they're banking on at least one of them being healthy at any given time?:idk:

Also obviously we want to credit the coach but the QB Thomas played with wasn't too shabby. Made a lot of TE's household names in his day.

I'm starting to buy into parker may be traded this offseason

this reminds me of gase and ajayi early last year
