[h=2]The Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker has missed parts of OTA’s and individual workouts in the first day of minicamp due to an undisclosed injury. Head Coach Adam Gase expects him to be fully involved on day two.[/h]Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker missed practice today with the team and instead worked on the sideline with the trainers. This is something that is not unusual to see from Parker due to his continual struggle with injuries. Last season he missed parts of training camp due to a surgery to his foot. This season he has missed parts of OTA’s due to an undisclosed injury.
In an interview after the teams first minicamp practice, Adam Gase made it clear that Parker is feeling healthy and will be a full go for the second day of minicamp. “I kind of screwed that up today because he should have gone through individual today,” Gase said. “He was cleared to do individual and I think I’m just being a little cautious. My thought process was, if I get him out better the next couple of days and get him in individual and maybe get him in a little of team period situations, that’ll help him.”

I just don't get why everything has to be so hush hush

So "it's not his foot" okay... Doesn't exactly make us fee better though. What is it? His "distal lower ankle"

This is something I won't feel a lot better about until I see him play a full season. We have two seasons in a row where he's been missing time for an injury and it's just not a great sign for a Wr or any player for that matter early in their career to be so held back by injury...it's a bad trend to start so hopefully he can play a full 16 and live up to our expectations.

I don't understand why they need to tell us every single piece of information?

Because we want to know

Maybe he had a vasectomy, or something private.....why do we all need to know that? Would you want everyone knowing every single thing about you?

Who cares, as long as he's ready it really doesn't matter what it was. What on earth are we going to do about it anyway?

That is the exact example I was going to use. It's pretty common to try to keep medical issues private. Of course I want to know what it is but hey i get it.

If he's back already, then hopefully it's much ado about nothing.

and why give the opposition more info than we need to? NFL players are not above targeting top players if they know the weak spot.

hot damn

although I bet he gets limited reps anything's better than nothing

I think Gase was pretty open. He said he probably should have let him practice and followed through today with what he thought. He openly said he was being over cautious with him. Reading between the lines, the issue may be bigger if Gase is over cautions in other aspects of game play when wins and losses hinge on decisions that must be made quickly and correctly.

It wasn't that serious of a post man, you guys need to chill. It's not like we're not all curious ... and of course so many injuries are not disclosed, it's nothing new in my eyes

it's a good example and if that were the case (doubtful as it may be at his age) I'd expect them to answer along the lines of it was a personal matter or a personal medical matter....
