Devery Henderson release by Washington...

Shined hardest with a top 5 QB and as the main vertical threat in a high flying offense. With Mike Wallace here, I'd rather develop one or 2 of these youngsters behind the group of Wallace, Hartline and Gibson. Pass.
 
Well if he can not play RG da Phinz just do not need him
 
He's about as pure a one-dimensional deep threat as you'll find. If Mike Wallace gets hurt (knock on wood) then you might want to have Devery on speed dial.

The Skins don't need him because Donte Stallworth, Aldrick Robinson, Pierre Garcon and Santana Moss are all fast.
 
Personally I would pass. He is 31and he is an ok player but getting cut after one preseason game seems to not bode well for his ability. He wasn't good enough to be Washington's 4th or 4th receiver so not sure why we want him as our 4th or 5th. His game was built on speed and his production has seemed to decline. I personally think better options will be out there but it doesn't hurt to look he is probably better than some guys we have in camp .
 
I think the Dolphins have enough depth and young talent to pass on Devery. Plus the last time Fins got a deep threat castoff from Washington, how'd that turn out?

Both Hankerson and Aldrick Robinson are much better WR's than Devery Henderson at this point. He needs to go to a team where he can win the vertical WR role, and like the article suggests, New Orleans makes a lot of sense with the familiarity and injuries they got going on.
 
Inconsistent Hands!!! We have young guys that have inconsistent hands already. If I was playing Madden, yes I pick him up because of his 98 speed rating. In real life, not so much!

Even so its after one week of preseason. He may get a look from NO just because of that though much like Armstrong with us except he was actually decent in NO and Armstrong was never good here

I would say Aldrick Robinson is younger and cheaper with more upside

imo if the coach thinks henderson is better than what the young guys can bring to the table then i say bring him in here and sign him up , i mean we all know henderson is a very good 3rd- 4th WR and imo would give gibson a run for his money at the 3rd wr poss ,imo it wouldnt hurt to bring him in and see what he can bring to the table , i mean at the end of the day i want THE BEST Offence that we can put on the field for 2013 season, and if henderson is capable of beating out one of the ps guys then so be it , philbin and company knows if there is any talent in our young WRs and if he sees them being able to take there talent to another level or if they are done maxed out , so it wouldnt hurt to bring henderson in , if we see fit .

I think what he brings to table right now, Henderson is not close to Gibson and that's from a guy that is not a fan of Gibson.
I think Gibson is capable of around 50 catches he has proven that while Henderson has had one season over 50 receptions in 8 years

true but henderson was on a team that was very very deep at wr , but when they did call his number he produced , ST Louis dosent or didnt have a deep wr core like the saints did , but if you look at there past history Henderson has had a better career than Gibson , i mean that can change this Year , but imo henderson would be worth bringing in for a look .
