why on most of the mock drafts does it have devin hester going 2 picks after us in the second round and us taking some reciever from pitt named greg lee? we need to address our need at CB and Devin Hester can be the answer. Hes got good skills and we could try to trade Welker for a pick if we get him because hes a great returner, and is from the U!
 
Probably cause its way to early to be looking at mock drafts cause we don't know exactly what we'll need. And Devin Hester is NOT a top CB.
 
I completly agree. I love Devin Hester. He has easily been my favorite player on the canes the past two years. I say get him. BUt you know dudes are going to reply to this saying "Oh NO, dont get him" But whatever, I think hes a real good player. Special teams at least.

you got that strait. "Playmaker" thats what he is. Whether its on defense or special teams he can make big plays for us.
 
...a playmaker on special teams. He's not a good CB or WR. We already have a playmaker on special teams in Welker. And a good slot guy by the early season indicators. And he will be cheaper. Why would we trade him or draft Hester?
 
i think hester is noticed more because he is one of the better players on a not very talented Miami team. That's why you hear his name more often than most any other player. I personally don't think he's the best option
 
he's still a junior, and if he wants to be a starting CB in the NFL he'll probably have to stay another year at miami to get in top form. if he declares now, though, he'd still go high just for his pure physical talent and return skills
 
I think when we add poole back into the CB mix next year the position becomes less of a priority
 
We definitely need to improve at CB. Next year we get back Poole we pick someone up in free agency, and someone in the draft we will be much improved next year in the secondary. I don't think we trade Welker for anything less than a third round pick, this guy is a play maker.

No way he enters the NFL early after playing CB sparingly for 2 years.

After 20 or so games starting at CB I'll take him with whatever we need to give up.
 
Hester is a gifted athele, he just needs to figure out if he is a football player now.
 
aight i was just wondering what you guys thouhgt of him, thanks. I truley believe that hester is a much better playmaker than welker, but i do love having welker around!

he's noticed cause he's one of the best athletes in the country.
 
Hester isn't a top CB, he's a playmaker with the ball in his hands... and it pains me to say this since I'm a Hurricane fan but Devin Hester leaves a lot to be desired as a CB. I don't see him leaving Miami this year because I think he knows that he still needs to improve a lot if he wants to do more then return kicks on Sunday's.
