you mean actually cultivate the talent on our roster? that just not the Dolphins way. we'd rather they go elsewhere and become Pro Bowlers & SuperBowl winners, than get the best from them in Miami. shame on you!

Devlin was moved from the practice squad to the active roster to prevent another QB hungry team from snatching him. The guy has some talent. Is he ready yet? I don't know and neither do any of you. At least we protected him after investing a year developing him. Smart move by Ireland. He learned his lesson after losing Matt Moore in Dallas to Carolina. I'm sure he will get some time in preseason to show where he is.

I find it amusing to see so many fans totally disregarding Matt Moore simply because he was not a
1st rd pick. The guy played pretty darn well ranking #12 in passer rating and going 6-3 in the final 9 games. Give the guy a little respect.

you do realize the entire nfl passed over him for most of the nfl season, he got moved up because of injuries.
also i doubt losing moore to carolina played much of a factor . moore excited carolina so much they drafted qb high two years in a row.
yes moore played well but the previous year he had like a 55 qb rating . also lets quit ignoring tha moore started 12 games so he was 6-6 not sure whats so magical about 9 games. i guess because saying 5-3 doesnt sound as good

It's EXTREMELY unlikely Devlin ever becomes anything more than an NFL backup. If the Dolphins valued him all that much they wouldn't have risked losing him all season on the practice squad. This is just an example of fans starved for a quarterback for so long looking for hope anywhere. But it's not realistic.
