I still can't explain why Ted Ginn is not returner punts when we are losing 27 -3.
Somebody answer this question

What are the odds of Devon Bess EVER returning a punt for a TD?????

It will NEVER happen, hell put nobody back there and hope for a lucky bounce

You obviously didn't watch the game last week, or any other game where Ginn was inexplicably inserted as a PR. If anything, I think Hartline should get a shot back there.

Bess has bobbled quite a few too. I agree with the OP, Bess need not return anymore punts. The guy has a nice side step to make the first guy miss but thats about it. I would rather have someone that is a legit threat to take it to the endzone every time he touches the ball. Bess is not that kind of threat.

i did watch the game last week and yes ginn dropped a punt but i would rather have him back there than bess. you need at least a threat to run one back. this is not an endorsement for ginn but a knock on bess.
if it's hartline, so be it

I also would like to see Hartline returning punts...he ran back a 90 yarder against Kent State a few years back when he was with Ohio State.

Ginn returned a punt last year for a TD. He should be the return man, period. You use SPEED wherever you can.

they both suck... But i CANNOT stand watching Bess not field a punt, and then watching the freaking ball bounce down to the 6 yard line when he could have fair caught it at the 20

WHOEVER it is has to be able to take one back for a td... Bess is not that guy.

plus it depends on the game situation. leading 10-7 with 2 minutes to go, fine put bess back there.

At this point it could not hurt..

Point him back there..If he gets killed who cares..

Bess is a damn good Wr..I dont wanna see him get hurt

i would love next yr to see Brandon Marshall, Bess, Hartline, Camarillo, and Ginn

that would be a nice group of wr's

I mean regardless of Ginn not getting the PR reps or not . . . he does have that homerun ability, and he should have been back there . . . . hell if he dropped a punt, atleast the coaching staff wouldn't be taking alot of blame today. We could bring out all of the "cut Ginn" threads and they would be off the hook for another loss.

Not that they deserve all the blame . . . we looked like we just came off a 6 hour flight . . . but we were playing at home.
