I really hope this kids makes the roster. I just have a feeling that he is going to be electric on the field, a sparkplug, playmaker type of player. I would really hate for this kid to be a part of the final cuts, and we try to stash him on the practice squad and then he ends up getting offered a contract by the Pats, or the Jets and then he ends up being the next Steve smith or Larvarneous coles. Please Parcells and crew don't let this guy get away!

I got that feeling too
 
I think its a tad early for the word star. As you yourself say, lets see if he makes the 53 man roster to begin with and go from there.
 
I agree that Bess has Star potential. He is that crafty guy that shouldn't be open but always is. That is how he played at hawaii. Catching all of those 5-10 yard passes from Colt Brennan. He caught everthing thrown at him and was pretty decent on the run after the catch despite having average speed. He was a back breaker when BSU played Hawaii when it was 3rd and long and he would sit in a hole in the coverage and pickup the 1st by diving at the sticks. The king of the outlet/dumpoff passes.
 
Training camp reports indicate that he is catching everything thrown his way and running crisp routes. I think he has a good shot in making the team.
 
Hope he does well, wonder why nobody drafted him out of seven rounds though?

If he's catching everything thrown his way and running crisp routes, by default that would have to send someone to the bench, wouldn't it? :lol:
 
go bess ! i hope he makes it but i wonder where would he be usefull... we've been playing two TE sets and Pro formations all camp, he'll be useful as a returner but i hope the coaching staff will elaborate 3 WR sets so that he gets his hands on the ball eventually
 
If you can barely make our current WR roster cuts, you are not going to be a star in the NFL.

I think I remember something about him having some sort of legal issue going into the draft. Wasn't he in a car when his friends broke into a house or something? That kind of stuff can make your stock plummet going into the draft.
 
On why he didn'y get drafted - Because of the WAC, and has the same label Brennan it is system - which is by the way an NFL system (June Jones)
