More bad news for the J-E-T-S

Word out of Jets camp is they have become increasingly disappointed with Robertson's playing after an initially encouraging start.

We hope, but there have not been any games played yet. Vinny might surprise us all.

Look at what Tommy Maddox did last year.

Not far and fast enough. I hate the stinking Jets!

The story was on ESPN Insider. They updated it after the Fins game. Here is the update:

"New York Jets: During the preseason, No. 1 pick DT Dewayne Robertson made little noise on the stat sheet, but the coaches defended him by saying he was doing other things that weren't showed in statistics. But his performance hasn't improved in the regular season and at this point Chester McGlockton might be the better option. According to an unofficial review of the Miami tape by the New York Daily News, with McGlockton in the game, the Jets allowed only 63 yards on 20 carries (3.2 average). With Robertson in the lineup, they yielded 108 yards on 24 attempts (4.5 average). Robertson is far from being a bust at this point, but its clear that much more was expected from him at this point and he hasn't delivered. He is young and still learning the game, but if he continues to play this way it won't be long before he's skewered by the New York press."

I did not even notice him playing ag the Phins - which is not great for a DT who was 4th overall
