I'm inclined to believe karma kicked in for Dez storming the field last week w/o a helmet when clearly the Cowboys LB grabbed Pettigrew's jersey

The catch like the PI the week before could have gone either way IMO.

However, I just learned Gene Steratore was the ref yesterday. You all recall the game against Putzburgh back in 2010?

good call, bad rule. Last week was a bad call.

Agreed on both accounts. Can't say I'm upset about it either. I have too many friends who are Cowboys fans (grew up in Phoenix pre-Cardinals and pre-good Cardinals and lived in Dallas for a few years) and they are probably the most insufferable fans in sports, and that includes jests fans.

Facebook has been hilarious since that call.

4 minutes left they may have been up by two unless a 2-pt conversion was made. Do you think green bay couldn't have at least gotten into field goal range even if it was a catch and an eventual TD?

One thing I have learned is fans are fans no matter what team they root for. we are all irrational at times, this board after Mia loss looks like my board after Jet loss.

Its amazing year after year you dont realize how asinine some NFL rules are.
everyone assumes you just have to have possesssion before you go down and of course thats not the case.

Great challenge. I didn't think they would actually overturn it but it was worth the chance and it might have won them the game.

It was the right call. Maybe the rule needs some tweaking but it was the correct call in the game.

It's a stupid rule but that's not even my main issue with the call. It appeared to me, and I watched it multiple times, that his left hand (at least a couple fingers) was underneath the ball when it dislodged and it never clearly hit the ground. I certainly didn't see clear evidence that his hand wasn't under the ball to justify overturning the call on the field. Didn't really care who won the game just hate to see a ****ty call nullify such a great effort by Dez and possibly decide the game.

it looked like to me it hit the ground, going OOB you need to keep complete control but in SB a few years ago that happened and they got call wrong when ball moved. Every ref interprets it differently which is frustrating.

He wasn't going out of bounds so that's a non-issue. I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with anyone about it I'll just say this, I watched it multiple times on my 70 inch HDTV and no one on the planet will ever convince me that the ball CLEARLY hit the ground. :idk:

The ball can hit the ground, and even move as long as the receiver displays possession throughout the process of hitting the ground. It is clear that the ball squirts out when it hits the ground which is a loss of possession.
