We were in a power I (the fullback is set to one side instead of in line with the TB behind the QB in the POWER I). Tannehill took the snap from under center and this is what is known as a "Running Formation".

And we ran to that side. I was unable with my cheesy feed to see who that player was.

Does anyone have this on DVR etc and can they see who was our fullback on that winning TD run?

48 Gray, I saw that as well; he got the cut off on the inside LB scaping down the line

semi related note, lets see more of dion sims and less cameron wether hes hurt or not

What is this sorcery "Running Formation" of which you speak? Is this witchcraft? Must one sell their soul to gain that short yardage? Strange times we face here! Haha

Thanks, and this makes sense because...

The Miami Dolphins have signed tight end MarQueis Gray(number 48), who has played for three teams in four NFL seasons. ... Gray signed with San Francisco in 2013 as a running back but was shifted to tight end. .

And look at his number, that is a fullback number.

It is truly a wonderment. I've heard stories about "teams from the North" using such arcane methods to win games. We are very lucky to have found it and to also understand it and TRY IT.

I'm sure we hid it from prying eyes, in fact, I think I saw Adam Gase pull it out of his azz.

I think I peed myself a little over us using a "fullback"....

It was Grey, but the key block was by TE Dion Sims.

True, but it took both of them to make the play work. Please do not take this personally, but fans often and of course listen to what the Announcers say and look at what they draw up. I've heard fans repeat semi wrong things because they heard a annoucer make a call after watching 6 seonds of the play. But by doing so, they often miss other parts of the play. Once big reason is that I'd say almost no one can watch a 4 second play a couple of times and see everything. I normally need to be able to slow plays down to pick up everything. I hope this goes on YouTube etc because NFL.com has it set up where you cannot DL any of the clips from games.

WATCH IT AGAIN. D Sims did not "seal the edge", in fact, he was being pushed back into the backfield and Ajaji had go back a little to get around him. It was a good block in that he stayed in front of his man but he did not seal the edge or take his man down.

But it was GRAY who not only blocked the incoming LB but also took down the DE that Sims was blocking. MarQueis Gray put two defenders on their back and and HIS TWO blocks made this play happen.

THUMBS UP, DUDE!!! Very cool and respectful about things!!!

To be honest, I think I understand and watch and I read and I breakdown film as well or better than a lot of people.

In my younger days, I used to write out games and break down almost all the plays. But now my hands are in bad shape and they really hurt (I'm having both operated on soon so I'm excited)

But thanks! I wish more fans were able to really see and understand what happens during plays.

It is a fool who tries to get his point across by insulting others. And once again, most people only see a play a couple of times and they remember what the announcer said even though HE has to make a snap call. I consider us all fans and hopefully friends.

I applaud your non doom and gloom thread!

I was surprised they ran a play there at the end but it sure worked well. Gase could have run that in himself.

Glad the first game in the updated stadium was a win - escaped defeat a few times. Glad tanny hit landry on that last pass, all kinds of pressure there and we've seen the alternative result of that scenario all too much.
