He said defense will not win the super bowl. No matter it be the pats, chargers ,saints, or colts. You must be able to pass the ball. Hell we had a lead on all those teams . That sucks we blew it.

It will be whoevers defense is playing the best!!!

And you failed to mention the best team in football Minnesota.... an offense that is explosive in the passing game, great run game and a defense that can get after you.

What sucks is I really believe that this offense is built to run. I'm not so sure we're just a a pass catching tight end and a number 1 receiver away from adjusting the way passing attacks are nowadays. I just hope we don't have to revamp the whole offense.

Not while Parcells is around will we revamp the offense. There's definitely some credence to the idea the NFL has evolved. And if it is completely true, it just means Parcells is stuck in the past.

The best off-season acquisition since Brees for the Saints is their D-Coord Greg Williams.... He's always been one of the finest out there. That D and their Offense has one major roadblock, that being the Vikes in the Playoffs...that will be Must Watch TV!

what i did hear steve young say was Charlie Weis is hands down the best OC available to the NFL right now...the perfect compliment to a young quaterback in the areas of preparation and skill development...a receivers OC...

I'm just saying we were in every game with each of those teams.OR should have won.

Dude is that really your voice in those voiceovers?

The most intriguing possibility of the 2010 Playoffs ( Unless our Fins pull off a mini- miracle) has to be the seemingly inevitable NFC Championship clash between the Saints and Vikings. I can see either team winning frankly, but keep in mind that Favre hasn't put up his annual "stinker" yet. He did wait until the NFC Championship two years ago...

Don't ever listen to Steve Young. All he says is his favorite line "It's a Quarterbacks League". Nonstop too, It gets real annoying. Don't listen to him he is dumb and only knows one aspect of football and it's the quarterback position.

Maybe Steve Young knows because he was a QB who, at the top of his game, could beat pretty much every defense out there. And if he believes that there are guys out there like Brees, Manning, and Favre who can will their team to victory in pretty much every game, so be it. After all, they do have a combined 1 loss between them this year.

At least in the NFL right now, there isn't a defense in the league complete enough to stop any QB out there. But there are QB's out there who can beat pretty much any defense. I agree with Steve Young.

Who won last years QB driven league, the defense of the Pittsburgh Steelers against a top QB and best WR's in the game.

NO didn't become a contender until G.Williams came and made their defense relevant.

And NE won't win the Superbowl this year and hasn't in a little while because each year their defense gets worse and worse. They lost their last Superbowl because the defense against them dominated the most explosive offense the NFL has ever seen.

Defense, defense, defense

Why aren't we leading our own division right now? Our defense allows the most points in the 4th quarter in the NFL. A real good offense and a great defense will win more Championships then any great offense and good defense combo just look at history and get your answer there.

And Steve Young is wrong. Look at the last 10 superbowl winners. Every single one of them had very good to great defenses. The only exception is the Colts who had a good defense. However, that defense played amazing when it counted in the playoffs, hence why they won the Superbowl, yet can't win any other year when the defense is mediocre. Defense wins championships, it has been proven time and time again. Again, Steve Young is wrong.

Well, he is absolutely correct. The rules are set up now for QB's and WR's. The NFL wanted more offense and to protect the QB's, and they have it. The way the NFL is set up now you have to be able to score fast. New Orleans and Minnesota are the two best team in the NFL right now, not only because of their offenses, but they both have very good defenses.

The mentality of pound it out and control the clock doesn't do it anymore, it has to be a happy medium. What drives me nuts is look at New Orleans, the only high pick for their receivers is Mecham, but what a great job of play calling Sean Paton does and coaching that former UM receivers coach Curtis Johnson, who may be the best WR's coach in the NFL.
