if you have the game recorded go to about the 4-5 minute mark (i think) in the 4th quarter. it's between 3rd and 4th down. the play where the announcers say half the O is on the field and half the special teams are on the field and then daunte burns a TO before we go for it on 4th down and welker catches that quick flats pass for the 1st down. there is a shot of mularky up in the box and you can tell he's getting chewed out by saban. then a few secs later there is a shot of nick on the sidelines voicing his displeasure with mike. you can read lips and expressions and tell there is a problem. it was probably just frustration from doing nothin on offense all day, but it made me happy cuz if it continues maybe nick will take his medicine and relieve boolarky of his playcalling duties.

Nice catch.
I don't have the game on tape, so I cannot confirm.

But, I would venture to say that it's not too uncommon for head coaches to yell at their OC if it's a bad day......
No big deal...

no im sure it's pretty common when the offense is struggling. im just looking for anything that would suggest saban won't let mularky ruin an entire season before he's canned. i can dream cant i lol

I saw that. When Mularkey put his hand up towards the camera because he knows he's getting chewed out on national television? NFL players might not react as well to being chewed out as college players, but coordinaters and position coaches sure at hell will. Go Saban.

I remember that part, it was disgusting. The game was technically still in reach (even if it was a longshot) and they were basically giving up. Not like they hadn't given up in the 1st quarter anyway.

Good catch, I would EXPECT Saban to be yelling at Mularky after the poor offense on Sunday! Wonder how much longer before Saban moves Mularky's butt to the sidelines.

I doubt that Mularky, gets relieve of his duties just for the simple fact that would look like Saban made a bad choice. We can't have that now can we.

Are you kidding me...Saban won't hesitate to ditch Mularkey and/or anyone who isn't doing their job. He has demonstrated that many times already. :shakeno:

I think Saban is smart enough to realize you don't ditch your OC after two games, particularly when the execution has been so poor.

By the way wouldn't you know it, my tape stopped recording about the 4-5 minute mark in the 4th. Oh well, but thanks for the info, it's pretty interesting.

no you're right, poor execution has had alot to do with it, but as an OC you have to put your players in position to succeed and i'm not sure boolarky has done that. he won't be ditched til it's too late and doesn't matter anyway.
