I was rewatching the game and noticed the Dolphins employ an "unbalanced tackle over" formation that resulted in a nice Moreno run....it was at 5:47 of the 3rd quarter...1st time I've noticed this .

They lined up Albert, James, Colledge, Satele, Smith with Clay on the right side.

I want to rewatch it all now too see if it was the only time.

Hoops brought this up as well...the Dolphins through a lot of formations and I suspect will continue to do so...

I didn't notice during the game but I read it somewhere that we had an unbalanced line that put Albert and James next to each other.

Here is the look...

that's out of no huddle in week 1 no less in a brand new offense...it did look like james had a hand full of jersey as moreno was going thru the hole between the two tackles...i might have expected to see it at some point but not the first time out of no huddle...that was boss

I liked this play as well...Wallace's 17 yard crossing route...Lazor does a good job finding mismatches...

There is no way a backer is keeping up with Wallace...

I noticed that the Dolphins did more creative **** in one game than the past 10 years combined. (Wildcat was like 4 plays?)

Lazor Like A Boss

Philbin Like A Boss

Hickey Like A Boss

POW POW POW!

yeah i think that was the one where collins almost fell down trying to stay with him when he crossed his zone...and then collins showed he was tired by not pursuing the ball very well after...if thats the one where wallace dropped his shoulder on the sideline like i think it is

it looked to me like a middle zone from collins but maybe i saw it wrong or i got the play mixed up

That's the play where Wallace lowered his shoulder on the DB down the sidelines.

Unbalanced lines have gotten more and more popular over the years. Defensive players are not always geniuses and if you can get them misaligned it can create huge plays. The Eagles used unbalanced lines a lot last year. This series of images is actually from the Eagles' week one drubbing of the Redskins in 2013:

That play went for a touchdown.

Same play....Collins starts to drop and comes up to defend Wallace and is only in his area for maybe a quarter of a second...

I like the play design
