We have not heard a peep from him.

I have even more respect for him that he hired coaches and then let them do their job.

I know right. I know he has a decent amount of input but i think that he's stopped mirco managing like he used to, at least for now.

I had hopes. But this is great. He hired guys who want to build the same kind of team that he does, and know how to do it. Now he gets to spend the next 3+ years watching game film when he wants to, leaving at 2, and looking like a genius.

WINNING makes V.P.'s very happy. I remember at the start of the season when we were 2-4 and they kept showing Parcells in his booth, but since then, they rarely show him even though I am sure he is in the same spot. Parcells did a great job of bringing in Sparano and Ireland and letting them coach the team, and be in charge of player moves. Some guys, like Jerry Jones, seem to ruin it for their coaches and GM's by getting too involved in the day the day business. I never thought this team would turn things around this quickly. :woot:

We have good chemistry at the coaching level which relates well too the players. Parcels was sure Sparano was the man he wanted too give the job too. We are very lucky too have been given the wining combination of people.

Who knows how 'hands on' or 'hands off' Parcells really is?

He sure as hell isn't going to tell anyone and neither will Ireland or Sporano.

When Parcell's has something to tell us it'll probably be disinformation, & he'll use Mort. (AKA the Tuna's mouth-piece). :d-day:

He was hired to choose the right people to run the franchise. I don't get what you mean by hands off. Bill trusted these two men to run things properly and it has been that way ever since.

exactly...i'm pretty sure he gives advice to Coach Sparano from time to time...as well as Ireland too...

To the fans(myself anyway), he seems to be more of a figure head, but I bet the coaches and players feel differant.

I'm sure the FO hear plenty from him, he just isn't in the media often if at all which is probably the way he wants it.

He is in a different position than with the Giants, Pats, Jets (although he did spend 1 season in the FO I believe)and Cowboys so it is much easier to appear hands off. No one outside the organization really knows how involved he is.

He's around plenty, invoking fear at practices, giving advice and positive reinforcement to players, and probably to Tony too, just not in the public eye which is appropriate since that's where it's Jeff and Tony's show. "Fear of Tuna" I know for a fact has had a beneficial effect on the commitment, focus and direction of the players.

BP's in the best job possible for him. If Ross doesn't screw it up, I think Bill's wanderlust is over; he can stay close to his Jupiter home, enjoy the winters and be the master string-puller of a successful team he built, in a game he loves, indefinitely into the future.

Proverbial 'NAIL ON THE HEAD'... It is hard to say how much involvement he has but I think it is safe to assume that he has never been happier.

No Bill Parcells, No playoffs. BP has done more than most of us think probably. Not taking anything away from Tony or Jeff, but BP is a complete mastermind of the game... To think he isn't doing much seems absurd. Tony Sparano is awesome... and i really think he's the right guy. Im sure BP had some training wheels on him at first.
