Did anyone go or have ever been to the NFL Draft?

I have always wanted to go and i think the 08 Draft is when me and some of my boys will get together and head to NY for the event. Has anyone been to the draft recently and are aware of the proceedures of getting tickets and how seating works and all thats stuff a guy may need going up there for the first time for the draft?

I heard tickets are free and on a first come first serve basis. Are people waiting outside through all hours of the night camping out for great seats to the Draft? Do a small % of people auctally get in or is it not really that big of a deal to get a ticket?

Im just looking for all kinds on information on going to the draft because next year i will be there ringing in the new Dolphin class of 08.

I went to the 1983 Draft.
A friend ( Balt Colt Fan ) and I cut school in 11th grade.
I was even on local NYC Channel 4 TV when they were interviewing Jets fans about O'brien. You could see me in the backround.
Back then the draft was not held on Saturday it was during the week.
It was held at the Marriott Marquee( Sp )
