I have trouble spotting players while I'm paying attention to the game, but besides on punt Def, I didn't see Cam Wake on the field. I'm not a guy who is going to fall in love with a player just because of 1 good game, but as a Dolphins fan, you have to realize the OLB play we're getting out of Taylor and Porter is average at best. I know the Taylor/Porter lovers will come to their defense, but the simple fact is they put no pressure on the QB all night, and that's really all they seem to be focused on. You don't see them making very many plays at all. I'd rather have good run support out of the OLB spot than 2 guys trying (unsuccessfully) to pad their career sack stats. Taylor had 3 tackles, Porter had none, at least according to the box.

I saw him on the RT on the hail mary by Sanchez (snicker) he got low blew by the RT and ran past Sanchez and caused Sanchez to step up by the look of that pass I think Sanchez stepped up before he really wanted to...

i didnt see him on d until 3rd and 22 in the 4th. crazy

He almost got a sack in the 4th, because he beat Damien Woody, but the RG noticed he got beat and stepped in front of him. Would have been a sack!

I don't understand why this guy was not in the game...Him getting that close in the end of the game and the Buffalo game we def need him against Brees...I believe Taylor is outplaying Porter so far this year and deserves another extension next year and cut Porter after years end...Draft a stud LB next draft...

If we should draft any lb it should be a middle linebacker that can do it all and not just stop the run.

Cameron Wake is a pass rushing specialist. He's not an every down LB.

He can't cover passes. And Sparano says he has trouble playing the run. I think we saw that when he couldn't make an open field tackle against a punter, and clumsily fell over himself. Now imagine him trying to make an open field tackle against Adrian Peterson.

Until Cam Wake can cover passes and runs, he'll just be a 3rd down pass rushing specialist. I think he has a long way to go before he'll be considered an every down LB.

Sparano should check his game film and watch Porter and his lack of tackling ability...Porter is the past and Wake is the future...Wake can't play any worse than Porter has been playing

I could have sworn the announcer said that it was Wake missing the punter on a tackle when he scampered for that 4th down first down. Since the announcers were morons, this doesn't necessarily mean it was him. Other than that I didn't see him at all.

Hello?? Please count Joey Porter's tackles from last night and get back to me. I'll save you some time. It's ZERO. The play against the punter wasn't that bad. He wasn't supposed to have contain on the punter, he was rushing him to block the punt, then had to switch direction and indeed lost his footing. The announcers overdramatized that one big-time. I think Joey Porter may currently be the most overrated defensive player on the Dolphins, possibly in the AFC. Give wake 20 tries at the QB last night and I promise you he makes more noise than Porter did (at least with his play, not his mouth).

Off topic question, not worthy of a new thread though.

On the second punt fake who was responsible for the blown tackle on Brad Smith. It seemed like he had him completely wrapped up, ugh.

I saw him get multiple snaps he used the same move everytime and got nowhere.
He was in the doghouse when the F***in punter juked him

Porter looked like a fool on that play

if there was a bright side to the play, it had to be bess. the jets got all of 6 yards and devon started 40 yards away from the play and was in on the tackle.

i can't say enough about him. he's becoming one of my favorite players on this team.
