Just wondering how he stacks up in success ratio in comparison to other GMs.

But wouldn't the coaching / player development impact the success rate on the player transactions as well?

If the coach is let go? Do we, or should we, retain Hickey?

Thanks in advance for sharing any thoughtful viewpoints on the topic.

Yes....definitely keep him

If there is a coaching change, have him heavily involved in it.

In my opinion, he is a bright spot this year.

James and Landry were great first 2 picks, and Albert, Finnegan and Delmas were both good when healthy. Keep Hickey.

I like Hickey's work, but I would let him go in a second if it meant getting the right coach.

And according to Hayden's head coaching recommendations, we should all hope Hickey stays on board.

Hickey made some very good moves, I hope he stays. one concern is all the free agent injuries

This should be the exact concept we should maintain throughout our search. If we are unable to attain a big hire, then we may need Hickey to be part of the coaching searching process to team with the new hire.

I think Hickey's body of work as our GM so far merits him staying.

I think he has done well, especially considering the mess he was handed and the holes that needed to be filled!

no.. all his FAs were accidents-in-waiting & did.. most of his draft isn't/couldn't get on the field.. and his being a Philbin-Aponte lacky makes him General Schmo, not manager

Totally agree. I think Hickey gets players Philbin wants and thats it. Jeff ireland on the other hand hand, get players he likes.

He did an excellent job! When was the last time we actually hit the jackpot on a second round pick? Anyone wanna guess? Read it and weep.

Try 2001--Chris Chambers. Freaking amazing. If anyone wants to know WHY the Miami Dolphins have struggled for years just look at the draft. Just unbelievable incompetence. In one year Hickey has hit on a big time player in the 2nd round and in free agency. Hickey's a keeper and our biggest off-season acquisition. Now let's see how good he is at drafting a head coach.
