Mike Shula was fired on Nov. 26th as of Nov24th we had won 4 straight games and people were talking wildcard with a 5-6 record and games against the bills pats jets and jax and colts left on our schedules. we go on to lose 4 of the last 5, guaranteeing our season ending and him being able to bounce to 'bama.

If we would have won out or won 4 of the last 5 we still had the possiblity to make the wild card and would have messed with him leaving when he did and messing up his recruiting at 'bama.

Just a thought I had, wondered if anyone else thought this.

Wouldn't put it past him to try that, but I doubt the players would have let him.

How would the coach make the players play bad? Did you watch the same games that I did? The defense gave up, the WRs couldn't catch a cold, and the running game was nearly nonexistent.
Saban may have been hoping the fins tank, but I doubt he made it happen

i highly doubt that. although im sure youll find alot of people to agree with you...

awfully poor play caused our season to "tank" in that jacksonville game... the shut out to buffalo... that was all on the players... not saban... and i have a hard time seeing that he could have convinced this team to loose, so he could walk out and quit on time to accept the bama job..

lose not loose.....

it's amazing how many people can't spell that word. Agree with your post though.

game planning, rejecting calls on offense and defense. Leaving bad players in when others could have came in.

not really, i dont think so. We were pretty close in most of the games, and i dont think he calls the plays, so i think its just lack of execution.

There was a distinct difference in the gameplan starting with the Jacksonville game, at the beginning of the winning streak we we're spreading the ball around quite well then at Jacks we started forcing balls to Chambers and that continued until Cleo came in at Indy.

I don't think Saban would lose the games on purpose though but it's possible he was putting in time concentrating on the Bama job and who he was going to hire for his staff taking away from his planning for the Phins.

I don't think he tanked the season, but I sure as **** know that he didn't put his all into those games. The moment he reached out to Alabama, he had no business coaching this team.

Ronnie had 100 yard games in both of his games back. I assume you meant before Ronnie returned.

He wouldnt have needed to tank the season to leave. I think the end result would have been the same.

I think we need to realize that we had a subpar football team (players and coaches) out there this season, and our losses showed this clearly.

A fun thought, everyone loves a conspiracy, but it just wasnt necessary.
