Knowing how Nick Saban works do you think he really didnt want us to score at all that much with our first stringers in the preseason as a way to not give anything away. I mean no wonder nothing worked for the 1st strigners in pre season maybe they were just playing basic plays on purpose and what not. I honestly think saban knew what he had and he knew LANCE shulters would start today all along he was just messing with gameplans of our opponetts, think about it no one saw this coming and we sure as hell opened it up comparted to the preseason.

If anyone thought preseason was a barometer of anything, they don't understand what preseason is about.

:yeahthat: Its mostly just an evaluation process.

I'm pretty sure he did. And I heard an interview with him after the game and he said our defense played pretty basic today because the Broncos were giving us so many different looks. He said we disguised a few things but he indicated that we kept it simple on defense. Imagine how much more dominant we will be as he throws more wrinkles in and the D gets used to the new schemes. Not to mention the offense getting more and more in sync.

Lance mentioned in the post game report that he had trouble getting used to the new defensive schemes. He also said that this was the hardest preseason he ever experienced in the NFL.

Dude, it must be scary to be another team and hear that.

he didnt fool me. I knew all about Nick. BB's best buddy. :)

I think Saban was fairly honest in his preseason analysis. He said that he would not be gameplanning or really putting his players in a good position to succeed. We ran vanilla plays on offense, and didn't show much on offense. The preseason is an opportunity to get some live action against another team. Some teams take the preseason more seriously than others (Chicago) and throw the kitchen sink.

Nick didnt show his hand in preseason....I knew we would be better than the way we looked in preseason.
