I just thought about this, but since they announced the Ireland extension we are 0-4. Seriously though, it is sad that the team has to wait till we were 3-0 to announce an extension that was done over the summer. Not to beat a dead horse, but why the rush? Just because you spend over 200 million on free agents does not guarantee anything. Why not wait until the season transpires and if the team meets expectations and makes the playoffs, or at a minimum is above .500, then that possibly warrants an extension. Obviously Ross is a very intelligent (you do not become a billionaire by accident), but I seriously question his football acumen. I just possibly hope the extension and the man crush does not prevent him from giving him the pink slip if things continue on this track -- which unfortunately, I do believe will.

The timing and secrecy around it was kind of strange. Don't think has anything to do with losing streak.

Reality just caught up with us. You can't get out gained all the time and expect to have a winning record.

Reminds of a few years ago when the Bills extended Dick Jauron after a hot start and they went on to lose a bunch of games. I think he got fired that same season. Same thing also happened with Fitzpatrick who got a huge deal when they were 5-1 and then they went on to win like 2 more games after that...

This team has been jinxed since they 'nudged' Shula and Marino into retirement. The Johnson/Wannstadt era gave this team bad karma.

its this simple:

this is a very very average team. it always was and i said all offseason we would seriously struggle to get a winning record... we won a few games and people got caught up in it
