I am in agreement that bringing Brees in here is a definite. Ramsey? No cant have /afford both and certainly dont want him leading our team. If we feel the need to not draft a QB then Couch,Kitna or Maddox will fill the bill "for now". I actually think though after Brock Berlin is done with his European gig he will be a great fit at #2 slot we'll have to wait and see on that one though. I understand the O/D-line choices but why are we avoiding the corners??? this was our undoing last year and now without Madison do we think were OK here???? I don't understand it. This really should be our second MOST PRIORITY if all teams have to do is the 3 steps back- and chuck it, then were in trouble B/C it don't matter how good our line is is we still can't stop the pass. Another area that just has me watching very cautiously is the Tight end position. I know,I know but we have McMichael but his numbers have tailed off quite a bit the past 2 years. Lastly, if we say no to T.O. and still feel a need to go receiver I hear this Chad Jackson guy is the real deal why not try to work up in the draft and go after him. Give me some feedback on this post cause I would like to try to understand why were going after some areas that seemed to be OK and not after the obvious needs.

Thank you. I need someone to agree with me on that

We shall see. Hopefully this European League will step up his game.

I posted some similar concerns about the secondary yesterday. But from what I understand this years draft is deep with solid DB's. On top of drafting a corner or safety, we should also consider the return of Will Poole a plus. he may or may not fulfill the promise he showed his rookie season, but at least it's another corner to count on.

Plus, by shoring up the d-line (Adams) we can mask some of the weaknesses in our secondary. This certainly was effective to a degree last year.

And finally, as most people said yesterday, we just need to wait and see as free agency hasn't started yet. Who knows what Saban will do. Just because it has not been reported by some second hand source certainly does not mean Miami is not looking at any free agent DB's.

I'd personally like to see Lance Shulters resigned, but I'm not sure where Miami is with him, last I heard he was not likely to return, but perhaps that was if the CBA was not extended.

So off the top of my head we have Daniels, Poole, Draft Pick (1st Round?), Draft Pick, Schulters (hopefully re-signed), Eddie Jackson, Yeremiah Bell, and maybe a Free Agent pick-up or two.

At least were young at the position.

Wait and see is all I can really suggest.

We are going to focus on corners but you can't do it all at once and it has been very busy so far...lots of time.

Yea, but i see what hes saying. We are trying to sign Adams, we have traylor, so DT is something for later.

Still got Travis Daniels and Will Poole .....even though I agree that we need to address it further before next season

I don't think anyone here would dissagree that our secondary does need help. The problem is that there are really no big name free agent db's out there that we can afford right now. I know that Ty Law was rumored but this guy wants a lot of money and IMO is past his prime. Saban wants to rebiuld the team with youth. I agree that the draft is rich with db's and expect us to land a couple.

Im there with you but the one thing that keeps me sane is Saban in the drivers seat.
There have been ALOT of speculations with the Dolphins being interested in this guy and that guy but never a CB. But hey, how much interest did we have in Ronnie before the draft?

I HIGHLY doubt we weill move up in the draft for a WR, sorry. Too many needs and not enough oppurtunity.

I am concerned, not only CB but LB as well. With Capers here with 3-4 dreams, what 4 we got? Even 3 is a stretch.

Not saying that we will stand pat with our DBs, but if we have enough pressure with our front 7, shut down corners become less of a necessity. This would seem to be Saban's thoughts since we've seen both Pat and Sam leave and not much effort to sign high profile replacements.

Except when a 3rd stringer torches you for 300 yards in a game!!
