Die Hards time to take a break (My experience).

I'll never detach, too many years invested. One thing I love about a "fanbase" is everyone comes together despite having opposite views on many things going on the world, that's hard to give up.
I live and fan for the quest

I also feel that I could build a team with identity and the right players, it’s a fun dream

For me, it’s not even about the money. I waste plenty of money on bourbon and golf. It’s about not wasting on lost causes like this team has been since that epic collapse.
“Bourbon and golf”

Sounds like a cool concept

I skipped the entire 2019 season because I refused to watch Fitz play QB. We will see about next season.

Welcome to the club. Season ticket holder since early 80’s. As a family we decided not to renew after last season. Didn’t regret it at all found better things to do with our money than give it to Ross.
If he was a present at the facility all the time type owner and knew football he would see how training camp is run and fire Mcdaneil, its embarrassing

Problem is no one is holding g mcdaneil accountable

Why? Those two years were two of my favorites in my history

I was at least proud of them

I’ll be here, but if McDaniel is the HC next year, my passion will be limited.
I watched this year with a different lense and excitement, it came from not believing in the coach and Qb after just a few games.

My interest will never waver it actually grows stronger, the passion and excitement will come back when I feel we can compete every week and I’m proud of the way we play and operate

It’s why I mess the flores era

Fitz had played and ultimately failed on like 57 other teams already. Why the F would I want to watch, what I considered a carnival act play QB?

Before coming to the Dolphins, he had started games in 12 different seasons. In 10 of those his team's record was 0.500 or worse. WTF.

People rightfully roasted Tua for all the INTs this season. Fitz was an INT machine. Career record of 59-87-1. Career passer rating of 82.3. Yeah, no thanks.

Speaking to all die-hard Fins fans.

Before this year I have not missed a Fins game since 5th grade ( I am almost 40 years old). Would go to bw3 or bars that had Sunday Ticket. At the same time have watched every draft from 5th grade rounds 1-7. Out of State season ticket holder for years and would fly down to games with my Dad.

Countless thousands of dollars spent on this dog **** organization.

My son born last year his middle name is Fin for christ sake for the Dolphins 🤦‍♂

I watched every game up until the Panthers game this year and said I would not watch another game until CG and McMoron were fired. Not one person believed I would miss a game. My wife said your going to watch don't kid yourself. The amount of anxiety I had missing my first game was insane. The game happened and I have to tell everyone I felt huge relief and calmness.

I felt the need to make this thread as I know there are tons of fans like me. If I can do this I know others can. Take a break enjoy time with your family, friends or other hobbies. I was hopefully McMoron would be fired but classic dumbass Ross strikes again.

I dont know what I am going to do next year but sharing my experience that others can hopefully feel ok taking a much needed step back until real change is made.

Fins up and hopefully our suffering will end soon.

Signed a battered and abused Dolphins fan.
I've watched one Miami game since mid-2024. It's liberating.

I figured if they want to half-ass it, I'll half-ass watch it. 🤣

You’re young, imagine those of us who are older than you are, (I just turned 50) our suffering. Although we all suffer. From NJ I always tend to chose the home games we lose. I was there when Tannehill threw 4 picks against TN, I was also there when we intercepted Brady’s 4th final drive comeback pass.

me too.. haven't missed a game since 1987.. still watch but won't fly down for games anymore.. i watch but expect failure every season. i'm numb to this franchise now. used to care but now i root with my wallet

I'm in the same boat as everyone else...This franchise has killed my passion and negated me to a casual follower at best. I realized more this season than any other that there is no PRIDE in that locker room or front office. They only show up for the paycheck and competing is not a requirement. I partly blame the NFL for fostering such a environment where you dont have to win to get paid. There is little to no incentive when you get the money anyway by just putting on the jersey and trotting out on the field. The other blame goes to Ross who is too old/disconnected/clueless to instill pride in his team.

I dont blame anyone for not supporting or even paying attention to a 7 win team who starts the year 1-6. Its unacceptable at any level and hopefully will result in a change of ownership.

Best wishes in 2026 Dolphins brothers...You all deserve better!

Yeah I don’t care about what he did before,he was actually playing a better brand of football for us,leading us well and using every once of his skill and brain to help us win.

He led us in rushing. Players loved him, the team was trending up in the 2nd year and the Ross and co ****ed it all up by demanding to play a spoiled rookie lazy qb who admittedly wasn’t ready to take over

You calling him a carnival act tells me a lot

This is why I didn’t interfere with folks who were right about the team in hindsight, just live and let live I kept saying. They were angry rightfully so, it was the other side who debated them with sometimes disrespect for being g rightfully angry and right
