Hey guys, I hope i got the correct section for this thread, if not, hope someoen can let me know. Thanks.

Which scenario would you guys want....LETS SAY IF we got Denvers 29th for RW would you rather have...

1) 16th Greenway, 29th an Off lineman (Winston?(the miami dude, Personally dont like the player)/or Giles)
2) 16th Simpson (S), 29th Lawson
3) Trade 16th, 29th, and a 3rd NEXT year for a Leinart or Young.
4) 16th Scott/McNiel(thats how u spell his name? LT from Auburn), 29th Lawson

I'd Love to get either 2) then a QB in the 2nd rd and a CB in the 3rd and a WR/OFFlinemen in the 4th which woudl fill SOOOO MANY holes INSTANTLY wiht possible starters except for QB (OR) 3) as we will not see 2 franchise material QB's for another 5 years or something except for Quinn so might as well get one while its available as we were a couple games short due to a QB issue this year.

I prefer this scenario. Greenway at 16 then Winston/McNeill/Scott at the end of the first.

Do you think #3 is possible? Would we be able to get up in the top 3-5 to get 1 of the top3 QB's for just the #16, #29, and 3rd next yr?

Probably not. It would probably have to be #16 & 51 this year & our #1 next year, & maybe even more.

Scott is a third rounder at best right now. McNeil has issues with his back. Winston is a late 2nd or 3rd round pick right now. Id take choice 1 but I would get Gilles, dude is an animal.

51? is that our 2nd? so it would cost us a 1st(16) 2nd this year and a 1st next year? how does that make sense? what if our 1st next year is lower then this years 29ths 1st (if we get it)? either way its 2 first rd picks.

That is what i have been hearing as well. Scott is having issues n' dorpped dramatically due to senior bowl and projected 2nd day POSSIBLY, winston hasn't recovered to his potential after injury and McNeil's back was a problem but I think he said it donest bother him much anymore?

from what i read about McNeil, what he has is stenosis of the spine. No idea what it is but doesnt sound good. If we do take a shot at an OT Id rather get Colledge from Boise St. Head alot of good things about him.

Cutler, Huff, Giles, Lawson, Simpson, Greenway, McNeil, Jackson, Cromartie

I'd be very happy with any 2 of them.

Because odds are that it won't be.

that's fine. I wouldn't think twice about it. In reality, I think it would cost a little more

1-Huff
1-Carpenter
2-Mangold
3-Whitehurst
4-Trueblood

Now our roster looks like this,
QB-Gus-Whitehurst
RB-Brown-Kay Harris
WR-CC-Booker-Givens(FA)
TE-Randy
LT-Trueblood-Mack
LG-James
C-Mangold
RG-Hadnot
RT-Carey

D-LINE,Roth,JT,Carter,Holliday,Manny,Vickerson,Bowens
LB's-Crowder,Zack,Carpenter,Spragan,Peterson(FA)
DB's-Poole,Daniels,Huff,Bell,Tillman,Lance

Only 2 free agents which is reaslistic.I think we'd be loaded and I can see Whitehurst starting before the year is out. We'd be building a great o-line and D-line too.

Ozzy rules!!

Stenosis can't be right, I just looked it up on webmd and here are the symptoms...

What Are the Symptoms of Stenosis?

Stenosis may result in low back pain as well as pain in the legs. Stenosis may pinch the nerves that control muscle power and sensation in the legs. Additional symptoms may include:

* A foot-slapping gait
* Frequent falling, clumsiness
* Pain and difficulty when walking
* Numbness, tingling, hot or cold feelings in the legs
* Weakness or a heavy and tired feeling in the legs

If he does infact have spinal stenosis, it's amazing he had such a productive college career.

I doubt it. We can get MUCH more especially since the only big signey was Peterson. I think instead of peterson we might go for Witherspoon and then pick up a CB or S. i think we'll address the S via draft and a CB possibly. I dont want whitehurst..another AJ Feeley stupid mistakes and decisions and Saban HATES that in a QB. I do see the draft maybe goin this way...Simpson instead of Huff as he prob. will be gone, Lawson isntead of Carpeneter as I see him being like the Merriman of SD as they seem to be same in position and speed i believe? both were DE/OLB. I like Mangold but odubt he lasts to us and i dont like whitehurst as i said. Trueblood wont last till the 4th. i see a bullocks maybe along these lines in the draft or someone else. Maybe we can trade booker and madison as well for pics or something or move up on a pic b/c might as well let booker go via trade rather FA cuz we'll prob. get a cheaper WR and still gain by pickin up a Draft so we get 2 players in a way rather then one in keeping booker. Works for me.
