DirecTV Sunday Ticket still will not air any Sunday afternoon games that are changed because of weather-related reasons in 2006.

Hurricane threats moved Dolphins games against Tennessee, Pittsburgh and Kansas City during the past two seasons. The rescheduled games only aired in South Florida, which shut out Dolphins fans who follow the team through DirecTV.

NFL publicity manager Seth Palansky said the blackouts stem from an anti-trust law that prevents the league from telecasting games Fridays and Saturdays opposite college and high school football contests.

Just airing those changed games in local markets is difficult for the NFL. Palansky said a workforce of 80 NFL representatives had to secure signed waivers from high school teams within the 75-mile home viewing area last October for the Dolphins-Kansas City game to air locally on a Friday night. The kickoff was moved from Sunday because of Hurricane Wilma.

If a hurricane affects Dolphins scheduling this season, the game will be replayed on NFL Network and the league's web site (www.nfl.com).

So, if a Hurricane changes the dates of a game, we still won't get it. :yell: I didn't like not being able to watch the KC game live last year.

High school and College games are higher up on the totem pole than NFL games? Wtf is that bs? Screw that. If an NFL game is rescheduled and there is gonna be some TV conflict than cancel the effin high school game.

Easy way to get thier money, and save money at the same time. NFL gives them an easy out.

That does stink....lets just pray that we won't see any natural disasters.

Misleading title, Directv couldn't show the game even if they wanted to. Blame the government for making the NFL a legalized monopoly with moronic blackout rules.

maybe the next commisioner will make this right?

There's no such thing as an "illegal" monopoly. Monopolies are legal, they just have to follow more stringent rules regarding their business practices. Personally, I think the Dolfans need to call their representatives and make their displeasure known. We represent a huge minority of NFL fans and we can bring pressure to bear, if we want.

no big news here. It isn't like people are going to give up their SUNDAY TICKET over the "possibility" of a game maybe being moved cause of a hurricane
