Why is it not showing a direct TV channel for the fin atlanta game.Go to NFL.com schedules and it doesn't show a channel. The only games it doesn't give a channel for are the sunday and monday night games.Hopefully it is just an oversight by them.

If you have the Sunday ticket it should list it. If you don't then you're a victim of whatever games that the networks nationally broadcast.

I got the HD schedule in my email and it is on in HD on 721

NICEEE i was just gunna ask if this game was on HD, because last week sucked, although I dont blame Directtv, that was a sloppy game in a bad venue and I didnt expect them to feature it in High-def.... Still, once you go HD for football, you cant stand the regular broadcast, and thats the way i feel

channel 709

I beleive it the national Fox game, so you would just need HDFOX. But let me get this straight. You guys telling me that in the US you have HD Sunday Ticket offered? None of my Sunday ticket channels are in HD. The only HD I get the 3 nationally-broadcasted networks...

We have to pay for this superfan thing, which among other things gives us NFL in HD!

Not exactly true. Most weeks yes, truth is FOX will do up to 6 HD games every week, there are weeks when they have more then 6 games in which case one or more might not be in HD. CBS on the other hand will only do up to 3. SO you see alot more of CBS's games not broadcast in HD.

sorry, please explain. what is superfan? and when you say NFL on HD, do you mean as a part of Sunday Ticket, or simply when HDFox and HDCBS show HD games on the regular national broadcast. because if it's the former, I'm pis-sed that it's not offered here. Secondly, if there is such thing as a sunday Ticket HD channel lineup, how many of Sunday's games are actually broadcasted in HD?

TorontoFin, The Superfan package is a deal from DirecTV that is available for purchase above and beyond the cost of Sunday Ticket. It offers up to 9 games each week be broadcast in HD. I believe it is currently available now season is half done for $49 US.

Thanks Fishfan.
Mutha---er! I'm calling Rogers (the cable monopoly provider in Ontario) and asking them why we don't have that.

My Pleasure! :fh:

Just got off the phone with my cable provider (rogers). For anay canadian fans that care, I'll tell you what they said. As you know, the semi-socialist nanny state of Canada regulates the air -- and more importantly the broadcast signals that travel through that air. So basically HD sunday ticket hasn't been approved by the CRTC (for my US freinds following this, the CRTC is a government-arm that regulates, metres, and must rubber stamp every single radio, cable, or satellite station offered in Canada -- think Soviet Russia or China).
The operator doesn't really understand why since the regular Sunday Ticket has been approved for the past few years. Says that Rogers likely has a petition before the CTRC, but with anything that involves a large, bloated bureaucracy (my words) it's tough to say when, or if, we could get it.
Man, I miss my "grey' market DTV dish.
