You guys are complaining about 403 yards of total offence, 27… Did I say it? 27 first downs, 13 passing and 14 rushing. Did I mention that we were 15 out of 21 on third downs. What?? Wasn’t 45 minutes of possession time good enough?? I guess Ted Gin really blew it big time today, 11 receptions for 108 yards, a real elite receiver would double those numbers and would have caught that pass for a touch down. Elite receivers in the second game of their third year in the league would never… I mean ever drop a ball like that. They are perfect you know…

Sorry to tell you fellas, we got beat at our weakest point by the guy who specializes in carving up that very same area… Two rookies, and a brand new free safety playing together in their second game. If you missed the Tony Gonzalez show last week, then by all means continue to complain. But if you saw what an in experienced second year QB did to the middle of our defense, you should have expected no better against Peyton manning and we will get another helping of it with drew breeze and then Tom Brady will come to town. Fact is, non verbal communication is key in the secondary, we don’t have it now and it will not come until midway through the season. Take that to the bank.

The bottom line is I saw one team get dominated today and it was not the Miami Dolphins. I don’t believe its fair to say that its Gins fault we lost the game, because like most professions, the offense is a body of work. WE did more than enough to win that game offensively. Yeah we might of won if Ted catches that ball, but I would have liked our chances better if we didn’t give up 2 touch downs in less than a minute and a half of playing time. Did I mention out Safeties allowed 187 yards to the tight end?? Oh year it’s Ted’s fault we lost that game. I guess it’s like playing hot potatoes, who ever had the ball the last is the goat right??

We lost today, we may or may not loose again… While you wrestle in despair about the things that could of, should of, but didn’t happen. I am going to enjoy the fact that I just saw a one in a life time game. 45 minutes of possession time?? Ran the ball down there throats so freak’n hard I was beginning to feel sorry for them. It was bruising, fun and amusing. All the colts fans and coaches can say is good job Peyton, you carved up an experienced secondary with two rookies and a new free safety. That’s a hell of thing to accomplish. Who would have expected such an outcome. This team practiced and they practiced hard. This is the type of game and offensive intensity that we needed to have last year when we got our buts handed to us in the playoffs. I am glad we are this focused so early in the year.

The colts did what any good nfl team would do. They watched game film, saw our weakest point (tight end) and blew it the hell up. It does not take to much to confuse a secondary that has little to no experience with each other. A few new crossing patterns, miss directions, and fakes and you have yourself an instant point generating machine. Playing against our secondary is like playing with a Vegas with a slot machine that only produces 10+ yards, first downs, and touch downs, just pull the lever and see what you’ll get. Manning got touch downs each and every time he pulled that lever today. I was not surprised and you shouldn’t be either.

yeah,.. Also, how do you not throw the kitchen sink at Manning all game? Do we really think 4 guys are gonna pressure Manning with their O-line?

Actually blitzed alot, sometimes Taylor and Porter. The problem is we telegraph our blitz and Peyton Manning picked it up each time.

Yeah like the blitz late in the game on the play that put the Colts ahead 27 - 23. You know, the blitz where we had like 9 guys in the box. No idea how Manning seen that one coming. That guy is really good.

i like this thread. i watched the whole game last night and i saw play out of the miami dolphins that i havent seen in a long time. like the announcers kept saying we couldnt haved played any better. and are you guys forgetting who we played. we played peyton freakin manning and how many three and outs did the colts have. the one thing that got us is the same thing that always gets us. the deep ball. we will figure everything out.
good job out there last night guys. im proud to call myself a dolfan.

The disppointment is all in the defense. Poor tackling, poor coverage, poor pressure on Manning. The defense is bad.

i'm disappointed with the last drives play calling & clock management. i had to endure my little brother the steelers fan laughing at me over it.

Our last drive to say the least seemed a little confused...other then that.. We got (IMO) rooked by and INT that prevents 3 of their points...and we also missed a field goal...take their three away, or give us the field goal and we don't need to get into the end zone at the end.. a simple field goal for the win. Props to the boys for playing a great game!...

Anyone happy watching that game is not a very good fan of the phins. The defensive scheme was awful and we missed some key plays on defense. We still cant get any receiver to make any extra yards and had some key drops.

We did not lose to an elite team. We lost to an undermanned overall team.
Indy's run defense is horrible and we had only a couple of receivers to stop and some french sounding guy does what I thought we drafted Ted Ginn to do.

I love that the defense plays like crap majority of the game and it's Ginn's fault because he missed a difficult catch near the end of the game. Every spot the defense needed to make a play they failed, Ginn misses one and the game is on his shoulders.

How about after Clark is destroying us all first half we make an adjustment on how we cover him.

Just maybe T.McDaniel not go offside at the end of the half to give them a better chance at the FG.

How about someone making a tackle, it is what they get paid for.

How come some of us want to run the ball more we then decide to take it a step further and run the ball twice in a row during our "2 minute offense" and waste a TO and 1 minute in time.

I'll argue Wilson should have caught that pick more then Ginn should have had that last ball.

Ginn make the damn catch please, you had a great night but you could have been the hero.

Pennington - there's other players on the field further down the field in case you didn't know.

Henning two drives died at their 30 after we ran the ball all the wqay down the field and then went pass, pass to shut it down, why? 2nd and 5 and we go with two missed passes, 2nd and 10 I understand but they couldn't even slow our run game down. Even if they stuffed the 2nd down run play we then could have PA the run for an easier pass play.

Lots of reasons why we lost, least of which is Ginn's fault. The defense really laid an egg last night.

The ball hit him in the hands, no excuse. The defender actually had some bad luck and ended up in his shoulder pads with his hands so he could not get a hand on it, to knock it out. Yes Ginn did alot of good things but he also dropped a pass right in his hands in the endzone, misplayed an eatlier pass in the endzone and could not even go up for it and dropped a 15 yarder right in his hands. he also made no yardage after the catch and went down barely touched on another catch. Some of the same people that bashed Chambers want to give him a pass on the drops. He has to do more than catch short out patterns.

Even with all he did right, he missed a fairly easy touchdown that could have won the game. I wonder if Chris Chambers had done that would we be alright with it.

we farking lost. excuse me if I'm not walking around all proud this morning.

phins are going to get a couple teams at the right time and pull out some wins, but the sobering truth is we still suck and will probably win 4 or 5 games.

you can look down the schedule and call a loss for any team that has a remotely decent QB and TE/WR combo since our secondary seems to be awestruck by TE running down the field. they can stop the run pretty good and run the ball well and that gets a couple wins here and there, but we have nothing in the way of a receiver and a QB that can't be counted on to throw more than a 20 yard pass. hopefully, after we're 0-5 or 6, they'll start henne so they can figure out if they need to draft another QB.

someone wake me up when its draft day.

Chris Chambers is still droppin' balls in SD, and they're not in the end zone, either.
