Hey does anyone know why there is no interest(it seems) in bringing this guy in? When he was healthy last year, he was a pretty good player from what I saw. He also is young at 26. Last year he had 32 catches for 332 yards in only 5 games. Just curious is all......any info would be greatly appreciated.

title should read DJ Hackett: Why make a thread about a player who we have no interest in. Heh just kiddin with ya, idk why we havent talked to him. I guess there is much more pressing needs than reciever right now, and there is still the draft... which correct me if im wrong... is quite deep in recievers this year? And also another round of free agency... and what about the possible Keyshawn return?

After receiving an offer from the Redskins, free agent D.J. Hackett has decided to explore other options.

He was in Tampa Bay on Thursday and will fly to Carolina for a Friday visit, assuming the Bucs can't keep him in town. The Redskins remain on the prowl for a big receiver, a necessity in their new West Coast offense.

The injury bug could be causing teams to be skeptical.

Apparently he is asking for big money. The Redskins made him an offer and he refused it. The skins dont ever make small offers.

Because we are building our own team through the draft, the right way. Not making the majority of it other teams cast offs.

Probably because he's asking for starter money and with his injuries and durability concerns, teams just don't want to sink that kind of $$ in a guy they don't know will be there all year. He's shown flashes of talent, but it's not enough for most teams to spend that kind of $$ to chance it.
