I am wondering how big of a need is the tightend for next season. It looks like linebacker , safety, de, and wr oare the bigest needs with RB and nt as posible needs.

I think we ought to bring in Crumpler and McMichael and just keep Spory or whatever is name is but what about Haynos is he good at blocking or is he good at pass catching ?

I think we should draft Gresham in rd 1 and forgot Parcells history. there is always a first time for every thing. Even Madonna was a virgin once upon a time. and what does Madonna being a virgin have to do with Parcells? everything Parcells has done thing things for the first time so why not do something for the first time now ?

I say keep Sperry and Haynos. Replace Fasano. And to answer your question, yes, Haynos is known for his blocking "and" catching. Predraft many had him going to INDY to be their "blocking" TE and said that he was better than the #2 TE they had because Haynos was "also" a good pass catcher as well as a superb blocker. So Haynos is a keeper.

Sperry is also a keeper because he replaces the athletic Martin with another athletic pass catcher only younger.

Bye bye Fasano.

I dont think we need to do anything with a TE position to be honest. I was relatively happy with all of them considering that we were are run first team for much of the season.

I would put it way down on our list of priorities.

our te's are pretty damn mediore. Fasano is the only one wth some potential

Fasano turned it around in the second half of the season, and he's a Parcells guy so I doubt he goes anywhere.

Draft Dennis Pitta of BYU if he is around in the 3rd or maybe 4th round.

We need to draft another TE PERIOD. I am taking in the first 3 round if someone falls to us that is good. A good TE is going to allow our wideouts to stretch the field and keep the defense honest.

Had Fasano shown up this year, the offense would have been more productive. I had high hopes for the guy but he didn't do anything until maybe the last few games of the year.

IMO, neither Haynos nor Fasano are the answer at TE. Sperry, I have no clue because he didn't really play.

Fasano was an idiot at end of year when he was asked about his future. Sounds like he wants the CBA reached and he wants to be shown the money. For what??? Overrated TE with average hands and speed. I say let him go somewhere else. We played some great TE's this year and they showed how far below the TE's on this team are in comparison. I don't think the FO would have been picking up 2 more last draft if they felt they had the answer on the team already.

We can use an upgrade at TE if someone falls to us. We don't need to reach for anybody. It's not a huge need.

Isn't Fasano a RFA? I can not imagine wasting the time of negotiating with him. What did he fumble 36 times in the Atlanta game? Haynos and Sperry can both block and catch. Neither are very fast, so I say keep them, and look for an upgrade for our #1 if it is available. I would not mind seeing Polite getting time at TE in situations where Cobb/Ricky line up in the same backfield as Brown.

It IS a priority, we havent had a decent, consistent TE around here for AGES!!!!! And we are stuck with 3 "1 play every 2 week" type of TEs....its pathetic, as the thought of converting Wilford into one, what was Sparano dreaming about???

I thought we had paid Fasano a pretty good chunk or money to begin with. What about David Martin is he gone for sure or will he be back?

I'd like to see David Martin back to be perfectly honest. He wasn't a game changer, but you knew he was going to be a decent blocker and a good red zone threat. Our lack of a decent TE killed us this year as we had no one to keep the LB's of an opposing team honest in the pass game.
