Do I support for Ireland?!

Yes. Now hear me out. I'm going to be like Jeff Darlington, the Fins Ambassador to the NFL world, (you all have noticed his MULTIPLE articles trying to fix the Dolphins name from Media beat down right? He is trying his dangest to make the fins better through national media.)

Ireland has done a great job talent wise, and many of our starters are from the Ireland regime. It comes down to the COACHING in my opinion. Sparano was a great leader, and his players loved him to the bitter end, but he could not pull in that WIN. The Dolphins were a scary team to play down the stretch but they just couldn't pull out the wins in the final minutes!! Think Denver, Giants, Cleveland, Pats, Cowboys, all games the FINS were winning in the 3rd and 4th quarters. This is a coaching problem and not a Player problem (not as much anyway.)

People would be foolish to say that Ireland doesn't know how to scout talent. I'm fully supportive of him, just give it time under a new COACH and see how he does. He gave Philbin a talented team to work with, now lets see if he can utilize it. 1-15 to 11-5 is no easy task. Our defense is not a push over if playing right, we have a full off season with a new coach, and we jumped over and beyond to match up with Green Bay on our big play capability down the stretch.

It was Ingenious of him to trade away Marshall, we all now know about him hitting a women, some of us saw the pictures, he is gone for atleast half the season. SMART move, save the money we need to get more talent and cleanse the team. We signed quite a few names in free agency that no one can complain too much about. Columbo was entirely a Sparano decision, Dansby, Wake, Bush, Burnett, We all loved the Marshall trade the first time around. We can't say they aren't trying. When compared to other teams, we really are getting quite the production out of draft classes, this isn't a biased opinion.

31 other teams are trying to get better every offseason, 31 other teams have aspirations to winning the Superbowl, No matter the "Thanks" or "No Thanks" I recieve, only 1 team will have my support, and that is the MIAMI DOLPHINS.

Hilarious. Marshall hits a woman 5 times: worth multiple second round picks. Marshall hits for a 6th time: masterful move to get him out of here!!!!

And Ireland wanted Sparano to stay. He persuaded Ross to keep him after the Harbaugh disaster. So Ireland is some brilliant evaluator? I'll believe that when we can use a second round pick in a useful manner. And all the bad moves are Sparano's fault, all the good ones are Ireland

Also love the fact that people are still focused on our 11-5 season. The 3 losing season in a row...well, lets not bring those up, huh?

I support the Miami Dolphins. I realize that the Miami Dolphins are bigger then Jeff Ireland.

Fine, 2009 season we were 7-9

Hard losses to the Colts, the Saints, the Steelers, the Titans, and the Texans
Ireland does not make us win in the 4th quarter or game plan, our talent gave us a team that could just have easily been a 12-4 season. Coach problems with all those close games IMHO especially when you are putting a beat down on both the Colts and Saints without coming up with a win.

2010 7-9

Bills, lions, Steelers, Browns, and Jets were all games we were admirably competing in and not coming up with a win. The 2nd season in a row Sparano could not pull out FIVE wins that were boarder line. We stayed in contention but something is holding us back from FINISHING a game. We didn't lose because of talent (and yes this is my opinion.)

2010 6-10

And filled with yet more games the Phins could not finish, BOTH times we played the Pats we were leading in the 3rd. Browns, Broncos, Giants, Cowboys all Games we YET AGAIN couldn't win in the 4th!!!! I'm starting to see consistency when games are on the line...and that is losing. This all TO ME has to be coaching errors and dicisions that can't compete at the NFL level.

This isn't a what if post, this is a post pointing out that the Coach failed to do his job, and that is win games when it matters the most. You can't say all these games that went down to the wire were all IRELANDS fault.

Yes i can. If Sparano had a more talented team he might of won those games. If this was a more talented team, the games wouldnt have been close enough to lose in the 4th quarter. If we had adequate play at the quarterback position, we would have made our own 4th quarter comebacks.

Anyone recall why the Saints, for example, were able to make a comeback against us in '09? Chad Henne starting throwing picks. His receivers were dropping passes. Our defense, understandably, couldnt stop the Saints from exploiting those mistakes. So: quarterback struggles, check. Wide out struggles, check. Those "struggles" indicate less then good enough play from our players. Talent acquisition, or lack there of, is on Jeff Ireland. Oh, and guess what, we STILL have holes at wide out and quarterback. 4 years after that game!

And again, Ireland's job is one of evaluation. He felt that Tony Sparano was a good coach. Like with most things involving Jeff Ireland, his evaluation was flawed. Yet again.

All my and your arguments are opinions. I'm excited to see how this season plays out
