Sure, the refs did make some bad calls last night. However, some people need to open their eyes and realize that these calls went both ways.
The non call PI on Tillman where he slapped at the WR's hands before the ball even made it to him (I think it was Tillman) should have been a 1st down for the steelers deep in Fins territory. The non call on Goodman (I think it was Goodman) when he would have stopped the reverse in the backfield was a blatant miss. I don't know who the refs were but they sucked....for both sides.
The reasons we lost that game were, plain and simple:
a) The O-line could not create holes for Ronnie (although Ronnie did seem to miss a couple when they did open).
b) Our safeties (I would imagine it was the safety's fault) cannot seem to cover a TE going deep down the field.
c) Our D-line did not get enough pressure on Batch (or stop the run well enough). In fact, alot of our blitzes seemed pretty futile as well, AND
d) When the game was still well within our reach, C-Pep threw the game away by trying to force a ball into coverage by J. Porter. Mind you, this was a great play by Porter but it was still a bad decision.
We were outplayed last night, O-line, D-line and QB. If you lose the battles at all three of these positions you will very rarely win the game.
