Just received a profanity filter warning, and wasn't sure where else I should question it.

I wrote f*****. It was edited by a mod to ****ing

How is one better than the other? And if the former is an attempt to circumvent the profanity filter, how is the latter acceptable? Is there a list of acceptable generic substitutions?

I've seen posters get away with worse. It is difficult to understand the objective line here. Any help would be appreciated.

Just type the word you want to express and if it is filtered, then so be it. If you do anything to get around that system then you violate the TOS.
