Haven't we learned from the past? AJ Feeley, Lamar Gordon, C-Pep...the list goes on and on. Our current roster has to be one of the lowest, if not the lowest number of players actually drafted by the team. I read trade a first and third for Derek Anderson....are you kidding me? Do these people have such a short memory of the AJ Feeley trade? There are no quick fixes for this team. We have way too many needs at way too many positions. The only trades we need to make are trades for more picks...ie with Dallas for their 2 1st and Barber if they are stupid enough to do that. I am tired of my Phins being the laughing stock on draft day (remember the trade down for Carey). Lets use the draft as a stepping stone back into competition, not as a stumbling block for other teams to build their future....Sorry, but I am tired of it!

Well, we didn't trade very many of them last year and I am somewhat happy with the turnout we got. Of course how could I not be considering the last time we signed that many picks was who knows how long. Draft leads to success. Success leads to Happiness

Hey, you'll get no arguement out of me. I'm greedy when it comes to draft picks. I just want more, more, more!!!!

Yeah, definetly happy with last years draft....keep em coming baby!

I agree completely.

I'd actually prefer trading away some of our current players for more picks.

It has nothing to do with trading picks or using picks, hell you give examples of all the flop trades but how about all the flop drafts over the past 6-7 years? One isn't better than the other.

Preach "Please evaluate players better", and not a preference how to accumulate players.

The past 6-7 years there was no need to evaluate because they NEVER used the draft. Cameron was the first coach in a while that actually tried to build our team through the draft. He didn't have very much time but don't be suprised in 3-4 years when four or five players from that draft are still here.

Yeah, but when you can count on 2 hands the number of players drafted by Miami, that are still on the roster and then look at why.... Yeah, some of it was bad picks, but a lot of it was lack of picks...can you say Ricky Williams?

I know we've all seen this over and over...but, wow. Everytime I see it, I just think "how on earth did they let this happen?!?!"

:goodpost: I think I just regergitated with this reminder

There is a time to trade picks when you need quality experienced starters at certain positions. I mean IMO trading picks for a QB was not a bad idea we just targeted the wrong guys. I mean how else are you gonna get a quality experienced guy who can start right away in this league to fill in for Marino. Its tough to find decent QB's in free agency and most rookies need time to be groomed throwing a guy right into the fire is risky. Ultimately I agree with your strategy of building through the draft and saving picks. We should have had a guy ready when Marino was coming to the end, but since we didn't I understand why we did what we did.

You're preaching to the choir here....I want us to get more picks if posible....if we had kept every pick and used the the right way(Wanny)we would have made the playoffs the last 6 years instead and not making them.

Ozzy rules!!
