Would have never thought of this if not for all the why did we not give Ricky the ball in the next to last series talk, but RW had only 77 carries for 330 yards (4.3 YPC) in the 4th Q (about 20 yards per game) and for RUSH ATT. 26-30 24 75 3.1
and for RUSH ATT. 31+ 8 18 2.3

not what you expect from the beast of the 2nd half. Stats never tell the whole story, but we all expected that we would be pounding RW in the 4th and seems like (except 4 the 1st Jets game) he was not used that way.

My take is we pounded Ricky too early. We need to get going in the passing game much more in the first half and save Ricky for the 2nd half when we have a 24-13 lead w/5 minutes left

Yea, that would give teams less time to adjust like New England did. Problem is our passing game isn't good enough to get it done for a whole game.

Get a Qb that can make accurate passes consistantly and that's a good idea. Otherwise we'll be in a hole before Ricky gets his carries.

Well, it's a good thing weve got one then.

Jay can make accurate passes...When it becomes a fling fest where you are agianst people like KC and Green Bay then you cant compete because our passing game is not up to par. Not all becuase of fielder, but also because of the WR's we have...

I think Fielder is good... will he ever be great? Probably not, hes alot better than alot of other QB's in his accuracy... but alot worse in many other things.

Apparently, niether is our running game.

4th quarter stats on Ricky would be very misleading. Earlier in the season if the game was in hand he would be replaced, and when we were trailing even.(remember Robert Edwards being in the game late a couple of times cause of passing downs) Not to mention when we are down we would be passing the ball.
