Saban's been with us for just over a year. I think he has done an enviable job. Every thing he did last off season came together to help us to return to our winning form.

Trust is an issue with a lot of us. This is OUR team and we've been fans of it longer than any player or coach on the roster has been getting a Dolphins paycheck. When they're long gone, we'll still be here rooting and cheering. Laughing and crying. Our caring doesn't change based on how much money the team makes or how many tickets it sells. Our love for the Phins is almost primal. I'm sure I'm not the only one on this board that has gotten into physical confrontations defending the teams honor. Heated verbal arguments aren't uncommon either. This is my team and no one will soil it's honor.

With that said, we come to the subject of trust in our head coach. The head coach is the individual that grows the team. He makes decisions to make the team better. The coach is also the one responsible for maintaining the teams integrity. Some of the calls that a head coach needs to make are tough. Sometimes they are based on finances. Some times they are based on performance.

When it comes to this trust, Saban has deserved it. I feel that we can trust him without question. He may not bring in the players that we approve of, but he is working tirelessly to better the team. I feel confident, (for the first time since Shula) that the team is in good hands. I will unconditionally be in favor of all the decisions Saban makes in this offseason and pre-season.

Don't you agree?

I can't believe he got a winning season in Miami in his first year!!!! I would have to say I'm a TRUE BELIEVER.

Yup...sure do......Saban knows best!!!

i do and look forward to this offseason as seemingly everyone can agree it was a success.....even fishy pete :D

I agree... to a point. I reserve the right to question dramatic moves(trading Zach, giving Reggie Howard a raise), but I would even then give him the benefit of the doubt until proven wrong. As for day to day moves, player evaluation, staff management, etc., I wouldn't question a thing.

I think we have a great coach. I am so glad the Wanny days are over. I can now look forward to the next season and know we at least have a chance.

It'll be interesting to see how Mueller does as well. Saban has done a great job of surrounding himself with good people.

I trust him. I mean he has stuck with his philosophy from day one, wether or not he won or lost. To me, that means he believes in his system no matter what. He will rise or fall with it. I appreciate that in a coach. If you have listened to all his press confrences, he says the same thing. " Tenacity, playing for 60 min, execution, toughness" I like what Saban is doing, and I will stick by him..........but we better keep winning!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, we have to also come to realize that he is going to make mistakes. Everybody in this league makes mistakes from time to time. The one thing that gives you trust in not how bad your mistakes are but how good the things you do right are. I trust Saban, I'm sure he knows this game better than anybody on this site. I think we have one heck of a coach for years to come.

Whats most interesting to us as fans is the impact he had in just one season here. JJs and Wanny's teams were always missing an ingredient that could never be found....Heart, drive, will to win, call it what you want...but that is now instilled in this team where it just wasn't before. I just don't see Saban's teams not display this quality in the future. That said, last offseason we all wanted big things and big signings and all of them were....second tier signings (even Carter although he was the top signing). We knew we'd get some player with immense talent with the #2 overall pick so Brown is not a surprise. I get excited to think about what Saban will do this offseason. I'll probably bust a gut when he upgrades the QB position, even if it is a young gun that will need a season or two to mature. Yes, I have to trust Saban because he has proven himself and proven his ability to look at the present and the future this first year...

Totally agree, he's done a fine job......Only one thing, I still wish he hadn't given the team the whole week off during bye week (thats when we went flat IMO)
