At this point, if both Miami and Denver (and everyone else) wins out, are we out? Can we get a tiebreaker against Denver if both of us win out? Will it be strength of schedule?

If the Pats beat the Broncos today then yes, they control their destiny.

I figure if Miami finishes 11-5 ... Denver wins out and finishes 11-5 ... KC goes 2-1 with loss to Denver... and Oakland goes 1-2 with loses to Denver and Kc... KC wins the West (12-4) and Oakland and Denver (both 11-5) beat out Miami with tie breakers. But if Miami finishes having won 10 of the final 11 I've seen enough to smile all off season with or without playoffs.

So an interesting scenario, where like 2008 our last winning season, it is possible to finish 11-5 and not make the playoffs. I still hate these stupid rules where there best six teams do not always make it. We could end up with a better record than two division winners and not get in. Just do away with divisions and take the best six teams.

I'm already satisfied with what they accomplished this season and the outlook going forward. Everything from now on is gravy.

Personally I like the division winner is in rule. It puts a premium on winning the division. Dolphins don't allow the Pats to jump kick em in the first half of the Pats game earlier this year against a backup, we are singing a different song about our division chances.

All that said, Denver wins out those last 3 games . . . hell wins 2 out of 3, they freaking deserve the spot (assuming we don't win out). . . that is one tough schedule to end the season with.

If Miami goes 10-6....we'll get in IMO.

My gut tells me we lose in Buffalo....and face beating the Patriots at home to get in.

We don't control it. We need the broncos to lose in order for us to have a chance. One game at a time though. We're on to buffalo

Ozzy rules!!

We have to win 2 out of 3, and have Denver lose 2 of 3. Then we are in. Oh and Baltimore needs to lose 1 of 3.

No but I'd rather we play Pittsburgh again than Baltimore.

It's been a good year! Started out rough and is ending in a very positive manner. The thing that impresses me the most is the fact that we now have a TEAM. Ownership, front office, coaching, players....... For the first time in quite a long while, I feel like everyone is pulling in the same direction...

This is not accurate.

If Miami wins at Buffalo, and Denver loses today and at KC on Christmas Eve, then Miami is in the playoffs. That's it.

I'm banking on Denver losing today and once more. If the patriots win today that'd help us out immensely
