I dont think so myself. Brock berlin outplayed all of them last preseason, and he is in europe getting good experience. I say if Saban feels Daunte will be ready for the start of the season then we should just go with Brock as our back up. Also it is a hell of a lot cheaper thta way.
Also i think he could perform a lot like damon huard did when Marino got hurt his last season. I think he was like 5-1. If daunte were to get hurt

If we as a team let either Berlin or Lemon go into week one as a starter, our FO has failed miserably. It's not the potential that either guy has, although I would debate that Brock is actually pretty horrible after watching him at the U, its the fact that neither one could realistically be expected to provide starting caliber play at this point, and theres no way we should count on one to be our primary backup. We all saw how amazing Sage could play at times in a backup role, but he struggled in both of his starts with us. How do you figure Lemon or Brock would do any better?

I doubt Berlin will ever be servicable as anything outside of practice squad.:rolleyes2

yeah we should if one with some talent is available in the later rounds, I would love to use our 4th on Jacobs, but with us losing our 2nd and possibly not acquiring another pic in a trade i believe we wont. Especially, since we do have Clemon as well as Berlin. Here is an idea also, but i know Saban wont do it, trade a 4th next year for a 3rd this year with a stipulation to become a 3rd based on performance. Just an idea.

I want Aaron Brooks as our backup he would be great and he has a similar game to Daunte they can scramble have a good arm and they fumble! Seems like a match jus Daunte makes better decisions and is a little better talent wise IMO!
