Lavar would be a good player IMO but I see other people I would like to fill the spot. Dummerville from Louisville is one. We could trade our first round pick and pick up a second and third and he would probably be threre. He led the nation in sacks and has the size and athletcism Capers loves. He was the guy that Marcus Vick stomped on. I haven't seen many people talk about Kiwi who led the nation in sacks the year before last and was doubled every game this year including against D'Brick. If we could get two high or mid second picks we would get two pro bowl potential players in them. Lavar will crush our cap and their is plenty of moves we could make that make us better in the long run IMO. Any opinions?

Dumervill led nation in sacks with 20....kiwi was 3rd in acc behind williams 13 and lawson 10. I think Lawson would be a better selection if we trade down in first round because of pass rush and cover ability and speed 4.38 in 40 at combine. he also was an olb his first two years at state:dolphins:

9 letters isn't too bad.

/don't mind me, just a smart ***
/yes, we want Arrington, just not for $10 mil up front

LaVar Arrington is a great player and I guess what it comes down to is experience. We could draft the guys you mentioned or Chad Greenway or Carpenter, we could draft a ton of people to play the same position. However, the real question is whether or not they could come in and start immediately, something we know LaVar can do.

sorry i didn't see the last year 2004 season for kiwi leading the nation in sacks

How well has Arrington recovered from his injuries???

Kiwi was doubled all year though.

Kiwi wasn't double by d'brick....he plays on the opposite side. kiwi was injured in the UVa game because of so called cheap shot by another UVa lineman

Yeah I just bainstormeing for a second and thought about how experiance will be needed. We will have 2 new starting safeties the way things look and two young corners so I guess it would add much needed game experiance by getting him.

Top DE in draft:
williams, dumervill, lawson, hali, tapp and Kiwinuka

That was a cheap shot 10 yards down the feild and in the back. Needless to say they wanted him out of the game. I was born in Virginia and pull for them after UNC but that was a cheap shot.

I was thinking using Dummerville at OLB because he is undersized and has that speed to play olb in the 3-4 and be a possible force.

I was also born in Va...Charlottesville...but went to NC State

But, do we need more experience at lb or secondary???
I like the talent in the secondary and hope leadership from people like Zach, Carter and possibly Lavar could help them out as far as preperation and confidence.
