don't appreciate a thread that throws the tiniest bit of shade at Chad Pennington

Chad has done nothing to deserve being compared to Jones. Its mean and the guy deserves a little more respect for what he did in 2008.

You want to compare Jones to someone...Ryan Tannehill with none of the arm talent.

And then what happened?

The Ravens ate him alive in the playoffs and exposed his limitations as a franchise QB.

Jones is similar to Tannehill in that he is a big athlete who can run which is always helpful (something Penny was NOT), 2016 was Tannehill's best year and he certainly was playing like a franchise QB.

The injury changed everything as it often does in sports, he played terribly this past season but he will bounce back, his story isn't finished yet...

I like Lock better as well more arm talent, solid production asgainst the SEC. From what I’ve been reading it looks like Daniel Jones stock is tanking fast I wouldn’t be all that Surprised if some team gambles on Jarret Stidham or Tyree Jackson over Jones

I am a huge fan of Will Grier. I would trade back and select him late first

Actually not true, Tannehill played fine overall but made 1 bad mistake as he often does early in the 3rd quarter which lead to a pick.

The pick 6 that Penny threw in the wildcard game, and the pick he threw early in the second half were really bad.

The Ravens didn't fear Pennington's arm at all so they played close to the line of scrimmage and dared Penny to beat them deep, which he physically could not do.

Tannehill's arm has never been a liability except when injured, he's just a football dummy sometimes but the talent is still there unlike with Penny as the Ravens exposed schematically.

So a QB A who has almost 0 arm strength due to multiple injuries, is past his prime and will retire soon
throws for 252 yards completes 66% of his passed for 1 TD 4 Pick at 6.6 y/a a QB rating of 53.7 and leads the offense to 9 points

QB B who is playing at his peak
throws for 226 years completes 72% of his passes for 1 TD and 3 Picks at 5.6 y/a a QB rating of 63.1 and leads the offense to 6 points

Both throw 1 TD in the 4th QTR when the game is all but over.

QB A played bad

But QB B had a fine game and only made 1 mistake? Only on finheaven.

Good Lord...

We could draft a guy that is better than Marino, Brady, and Elway combined...

And still suck.

A good line does really make a difference.

Yet all hands scream for Marino 2.0 RIGHT NOW!!

Off topic, but true, which is why the Texans, Cowboys, Seahawks, Rams, Chargers, and Chiefs (Mahomes sacked one less time than Tannehill) all sucked last year. It's why both the Pats and Eagles were terrible the year before, having both given up more sacks than the Phins.

Nothing is more important than QB. Unfortunately, neither of the actual topics of this thread are all that good.

Anyways, feel free to discuss the offensive line in an offensive line thread and leave the discussion in here to the QBs in question. Thanks!
