The shift is because more and more fans are becoming fed up with this stupid f#%k*@g franchise.
Allow me to make a "slight" correction:

"The shift is because more and more fans are becoming f#%k*@g stupid."

There, that's much better. - LOL

Say what you mean and mean what you say! - LOL

Yes, we are absolutely stupid for sticking around!

We are the only team in the last 25 years to not win a playoff game. Worse than the Browns, Panthers, I put our 1-15 team against anyone as one of the worst teams ever. We have a couple years of fun sprinkled in like the Wildcat season, Gases one good year and recently Flores and McDaniel has a couple seasons where there were some fun games but ultimately nothing came of it and we got bounced in the first round, most times in lopsided fashion like the Steelers a few years ago Chiefs etc. We continue to take half measures by either firing the coach but not the GM or promoting Grier when didn’t deserve the job after Tannenbaum left. Grier has made some good picks, he’s never drafted any true superstar elite all pro talent that didn’t end up leaving the team and having their best years on other teams like Tunsil and Minkah. He’s passed on some game changing players because he took the safe route, and he has completely wasted the war chest of draft capital cap space we had accumulated for the rebuild. This is a failed rebuild anyway you look at it, yes some of that is due to untimely injuries but if you sign injury prone players you shouldn’t be shocked when they get hurt.

I want to see the Dolphins win a Super Bowl in my lifetime. Grier has proven time and time again that he doesn’t have what it takes to competently manage a franchise, we should be looking at someone in the KC/Baltimore/Eagles etc FO because they know what a successful organization looks like. I liked McDaniel the first couple seasons, but his play calling, getting plays in on time and his practice philosophies are wearing my patience thin, he isn’t learning fast enough and adapting fast enough to what defenses are throwing at us. It shouldn’t take 2 seasons to figure out how to beat a cover 2 shell, and he’s the one telling Grier to go for skill positions over OL so he has a lot to prove this year. We as fans should be demanding excellence and competence from our team, I’m not settling for limping to the playoffs and getting ass blasted in the first round. We should all want more, I go into every season hoping for the best but I also am realistic about what I see going on with this team, and some of you just blindly trust them to lead us for some reason when they have done nothing to earn our trust.

If you don’t watch the games, you certainly shouldn’t be commenting about people being RONG.

But, but, but I'm RIGHT! - LOL

Well, well, well.

It appears that this thread struck a nerve! I've added an additional option to the poll.

Just to clarify, although I'm staggered these things needed to be said:

1) Rooting for the Miami Dolphins to win games does not mean that you don't want them to win a Super Bowl. The line of thinking is so insane that I didn't even consider that someone could feel that way. If continual bottom-dwelling was the solution to the problem at hand, Detroit and Cleveland would have run out of fingers for rings.

2) Rooting for the Miami Dolphins to win games does not mean that anyone likes Chris Grier, or is somehow by association defending him. Believe it or not, how we root for the Dolphins ALSO doesn't affect whether or not Chris Grier gets fired. Please, for the love of God, don't make me make another poll.

3) Wanting the Miami Dolphins to win a Super Bowl...and again, I'm staggered this needed to be said...does not make you special. Everyone here wants Miami to win a Super Bowl. I'm all for people fanning how they want to fan...but I'm pretty sure that not wanting your favorite team to win a championship belies the premise of being a fan.

Al Davis said it best - "Just win, baby!"

Also, I have been known to be on my knees praying* for a Dolphins victory against the much hated Jets. Marino delivered with the fake spike.

*Pretty sure God cares nothing about football and perpetually working 12 hour shifts with little proper sleep makes one do perplexing things.

Shouldn't that be "What's your retarded opinion"? - LOL

I legitimately don't like that word.

Besides, people already think I'm being insulting; apparently they're upset about me including "idiot" in one of the poll options. To clarify, I was trying to be inclusive, as one poster recently used THIS .GIF when describing people who wanted to win games:

The Lion King Scar GIF

I was just trying to be helpful. I had no idea it would result in more hypocrisy and playing the victim.

I'd like another option.

Rooting for them makes no difference but betting for or against them completely changes the outcome of the game.
I’ve got a buddy (Raiders fan) who used to bet against his team every week.

When they won, he was happy.
When they lost, he won $ so he was happy.

He called it “paying for the win”

The idea of firing Grier and Mcdaniel is fine by me. The idea of blowing it all up is ridiculous IMO.

You can trade away some players, but trading away too many creates more holes than you can fill. This nonsense of trading high draft capital needs to stop, unless we're looking to get over the final hump.

This team can be great in a short period of time if they're managed properly and have a long term solution at QB.
