Let me see:

We played a rookie QB that was a total disaster although I think he will be better down the line.

We played with Bowens, Konrad, Surtain, Minor, McIntosh and Howard Out...All Important players...

We played with the worst offensive Line performance in team History.

We had two tackles that were allowing our Rookie QB to take 13 HITS.

We gift wrapped 7 points to them on a interception return.

We had an offense that was determined to get a crucial penalty every time they got anything going.

We had a punt returner that was determined to break the NFL record for muffs in a game.

All this AND....We still almost won the game!!!!!

That says more about how bad Cincy is than anything with the Fins.

What positive could you possibly take form the points you just made? Our defense played well as usual and as usual could not hold off the game winning drive.(probably too tired) Looked alot like last years losses.

Alot more than "0-16 sounds about right...or 4-12 at best."

How is that?

Was there anything that team did last night to think that 4 wins is possible? Seriously, I think they will win 4, but last night they would have been lucky to beat UCLA.

Miami could of won that game. It is not like they lost 40-0.

I agree, but they didn't. If thats the only positive that came out of the game, that they "could have won that game" then thats sad.

This defense will not be able to stay on the field all year like they played last year. The past two seasons have shown with a decent Offense that they wear down.

The D is the only good thing for now. What about in 6 weeks? I believe it will get much worse before getting better.

What credit should be given?

The D played extremely well for using backups, which shows a little depth this year.

The QB threw with authority when given time, but time he didn't have much of last night and still managed to get 200+ yards.

We had a chance until the end of the game, with as bad as the O played.

When the KR|PR did hold onto the ball he added some spark to special teams.

Mare hit two 40+ kicks back to back under extreme pressure.

Wade may have sealed his fate and McIntosh gets the next start.

Yeah, the fact that we were in it til the end despite the ridiculous play says something, although I'm not sure what. To me the biggest positive was the play of Poole, he proved in a real game he is a player. However, looking at the O-line, the way they played, and perhaps more importantly, the way they were coached, foretells a season without playoffs. That erases all positive and mitigating thoughts in my mind.

I agree, but from my previous post, for how long?

The QB threw with authority when given time, but time he didn't have much of last night and still managed to get 200+ yards.

I saw AJ throw more balls hesitant and scared then throwing with authority.

Wade may have sealed his fate and McIntosh gets the next start.

Now there is something good.

How is that sad? How can it be the only posititve?

I'm 1/2 way throught he 3rd quarter watching it, and so far I have to agree with 126th. Listening to it at work last night, sounded much worse. We were in both games so far and could have won both. Right now we are just self destructing. THe one glaring hole I see is wade Smith...several plays I have no idea what the kid was thinking. I hope Tosh can return really soon. As for this week, now correct me if I'm wrong, but we'll be playing one of the best blitzing teams in the league...will be really tough. I called for a total revamp of the O, and I got it..so I'm willing to take the bumps along the way. I'm very impatient with the fins/canes etc and expect awesome play all the time as I've been spoiled for many years, but osmetimes you gotta take a step back to take several forward. SOmeone said "to overcome the conflict to come you overcome that which conflicts you", well I think that applies here, as we cant beat someone till we can avoid beating ourselves.
