Denver calling to bench Plummer in favor of Cutler, Dallas calling to bench Bledsoe in favor of Romo, did either coach bite on it. Granted, those two bounced back, but every GREAT coach knows you NEVER EVER EVER bench your starting quarterback until the season is out of reach. No, not out of reach like some of you see it "we're 1-2 and Daunte is playing badly, so the season is out of reach." no, I mean physically 1-8. No chance of a playoff berth etc. We are not out of it by any means. We are in a bad division with an easy schedule. What better time for Daunte to get the soft part of the schedule than when we can win some games with terrible quarterback play. I'm not happy with what I see either, but be realistic and be supportive. We will make the playoffs. Mark my words.

Thank you......Nice post!!!!!

So why bring in a QB of Joey Harrington's caliber, (A NFL starter with all the physical tools) if you would only use him after the season is out of reach. I think we brought in PEP with the thinking that he has a chance to be good this year and we got him for a steal. Harrington was our insurance policy if PEP didnt work out. Well this is not the Culpepper that was advertised and now I think its time to cash in the insurance policy. I dont think that is crazy, I think Saben made a concious effort to have a contigency plan in case Pep didnt play up to his potential, HIS FIRST YEAR AFTER A REDICULOUS KNEE INJURY. Saben is Smart

ok we can possibly be playing for the division lead in week 5, we got houston next week, if we can beat them and get back to 2-2 and the pats have looked like **** this whole season,( for all the joey lovers, should the pats bench brady?) they have to play at cincy next week, which if they cannot beat the broncos i dont see them beating cincy, week 5 could be for the division lead, and we always play new england tough, even with aj feeley at the helm

we can get right back into the hunt with a win next sunday

Why bench a proven bro bowl QB for a unproven QB thats had 4 loosing seasons in detroit!!!

Because our desired backup, Frerotte, left for St. Louis, and Harrington was the best option available.

What, you thought we actually got Harrington and listed him as #2 on the depth chart so we could start him?

The only thing he has proven is that he is playing injured.

That injured QB looked good diving in for the TD!!!!!:dolphins:

KEEP THE FAITH!!!!!!!!!

Wrong

joey has never proven to be starter quality. He has proven to be a decent backup at best. Look at his career W-L regardless of the rest of his team, he has never looked good enough to be a starter, Daunte has. Do you think that all of a sudden he will come to Miami and become the Joey Harrington that everyone expected him to be? Not likely. Joey is a backup who Saban was planning on starting the season if Daunte wasn't ready. He is, and I want Daunte to get back into his old game, and if that means we have to lose to the Bills at home, then that's fine with me. And by the way, look at our win loss record, we are 1-2. 1-2 isn't insurmountable, and we came really close to beating Pitt who should have killed us at home, so the only really terrible outcome game I see is buffalo. Being 1-2 isn't the end of the world.

He used to do that all the time, he also used to drive his team into the redzone on a regular basis. That kind of run is what made me excited about bringing him here, because it takes away the chance of a redzone INT. But he cant sustain a drive like he used to so I think he needs to go.
