when I think back to his last year, I remember thinking he was a failure. boy was I wrong

some fin fans here need to learn that lesson

he started that process 7 years ago. all the talent he brought in most assuredly have been in the NFL 3 years or more.

so here we are after 2 years and there is alot of whining. perhaps he isn't Bill Polian or Ozzie Newsome, but he's good and he has Ron Wolf in his corner

when he is gone and the next Rick Speilmann comes to So Fla that's when I'll start my crying

Clever title.

I can't wait for FA (such as it is this year) and the draft. The phrase the FO used at the outset of this rebuilding project , "talent infusion", is still our top priority.

There's another Miles Austin out there somewhere and these guys seem to be able to find undrafted talent (Bess) and lower draft round picks (D. Thomas) so i would not be surprised to see them unearth some nugget playing at some tiny school.

role guys you get with late rd picks and undrafted guys. That makes a big difference when building a team. But you rarely get game changers this way Rarely! You need to identify these guys and draft them high as well as hit on a couple in FA or trades. Look at NE - drafted Brady low (got lucky), trade for Welker and stole Moss. That's their offense - OL were some decent high picks. Defense they spent some high picks with Wolfork and Seymour (now traded for a #1).

As a Cowboy fan yes i am.I grew up in the Northeast and can
tell you Parcells don't waste any time in turning around teams.
But the one thing we have going for us,is i don't believe he sees
himself at this point in his life,a sense it's time to move on. As always
he leaves you with a competitive team.

Yes which is why I am not on board with all the doubters on this board. Plus taking into account how bad it has been around here before Parcells and company showed up I can be patient a while longer.

the crybabies always pick some negative and then spin it so they can justify their petulance. the subject of this thread is not how Wade Phillips has done squat. I shouldn't want AJ Smith because Norv Turner can't win a SuperBowl?

A lot of that you can put on Wade Phillips and Tony Romo. If Phillips was worth a damn, the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl this year. I still question Romo's commitment.

No secret that Wade is on the hot seat. Nothing you can do with Romo except throw him a blanket party or hope that he matures.
